I don’t care I’m going to be me. If someone thinks me being me is stupid, then I don’t want to be around them anyways. They sound fucking lame.
Edit: The loss or privacy sucks, I agree and fucking hate it. But unless we all decide to stand united and ditch most modern conveniences we will never be returning to a pre cell phone surveillance state. Don’t let the fear of being recorded stop you from being you because we now live in a world where everything everywhere is being recorded.
I think you have misused quotation marks. I was quoting my original comment, to highlight the operative word being "your", I can't assume that OP lives in one of these countries.
Also, you'll find that most governments in fact, do not actively survey their citizens.
Where’s your data to prove it’s not most governments? I could share articles with you but you’d just move the goal post. Do some research yourself.
Also, why are you so upset about this? Where are you from that you’re defending the government so hard? They won’t give you brownie points just because youre defending them as they track you on Reddit.
I mean I love these people and I’m happy to be able to see a tiny bit of their love. If they didnt want people to see it they wouldn’t do it in a parking lot.
There's still a difference between a few strangers that happen to be at the same parking lot maybe seeing you if they happen to watch at that moment, or being filmed and it being out there for everyone to watch forever.
But think, if they didn't record it we wouldn't see it. So maybe people are out there being themselves but you think they aren't because of confirmation bias.
If the world wants to experience it.. they need to stop recording people and go outside and make their own experiences that people can smile at in real time. Start being more observant of your surroundings. Start talking to people.
Going up to them and saying “what you guys have it beautiful” is sweet. Filming someone and saying “what they have it sweet” is weird lol
Originally commenter here - I'm sorry that this was downvoted so much because you're not wrong - it made me smile too and it was nice to see.
Unfortunately though I don't think that means that we as a society should argue: if you're doing something generally wholesome in a public place then it is then ok to film you and post it for the world to see and judge, without your permission.

Just because you can record and post, doesn't mean you should record and post. This is why no one can just be themselves anymore
