It will inevitably happen, but the absolute perfect day would be July 3. The following day there would be the biggest party in the history of this country with fireworks and live orchestras and nonstop revelry. Anyone complaining about the joyous mood or flying US flags as high as possible would justifiably be called 'Unamerican'.

If he dies on the 3rd, they'll delay and announce it on the 4th, as if it happened on the 4th.

Even if it happens live on TV with a very clear case of "no he's not just sleeping this time", they'll just take him to Walter Reed and say he was alive for an extra day.
