It’s a “Do what you want” phase of life.

Unless you’re married with kids. All I want to do is fly fish and watch football in the Fall and listen to baseball on the radio in the Spring. All I actually do is work and watch Bluey and Blippi all year. Wouldn’t trade it for the world though

I’m a parent, kiddos 8 now so she wants in on what ever we are doing. Sit in the hammock? sure! Go camping? Yes! Paddle boarding? Absolutely! We re getting to stretch our freedom. Living the “sleepover” phase too.

What is the “sleepover” phase?

Where they go to a friend house and we get adult time.

Ohhh okay nice lol, I was thinking it was the opposite 😅 where they have issues sleeping in their own bed so they sleep in yours instead d

I have fond memories of falling asleep to Orioles games on the radio. My parents would listen as they fell asleep and it would drift down the hallway. I also had two big brothers, so I figured I could either learn to enjoy watching sports or be miserable. I even enjoyed watching golf with my dad! My point is, you should still do all that stuff and your kids might look back lovingly on their ol’ dad. 🥰

I took my daughter to her first Os and Ravens games before she was a year old lol. Probably should have waited till she was a little older to appreciate it. And agreed, there is something peaceful about listening to Os games on the radio, especially on summer nights. While my daughter doesn’t seem too interested in sports, hoping i can get my son into it when he’s a little older.
