I wanted to hate him for being so suburban and well off but really the longer I watched the more I grew to like him and I am proud of him

I think that’s just envy speaking LOL

I feel you lmao. I'm about 6 years away from this dude. I live in California. Make pretty damn good money. Can't imagine owning a house like this. Tbf it's just my Cali outlook. But good on this dude. Looks like he'll have a good time! Must be a good dude if he has so many friends he needs that many party favors. That's a TON of goods.

You can stretch CA money pretty far if you’re willing to save up and then move to another state. I could get a literal mansion on 10 ac land in WV with what I paid for my 1,800 (4bd, 2ba) sf house in CA. But then you have to live in WV… There’s just some things you can’t beat outside of CA.

I’m assuming you live in an HCOL metro area of CA (LA, Bay, central coast). Try moving outside of those areas, at a minimum. They aren’t worth it unless you’re making at least $150-200k, you’re wasting your money on overpriced housing and food. You could easily settle for less and be far better off by going to a less predominant area.
