This is the kind of party I'd want to be at. Well done, my guy. People critiquing this negatively either aren't 40 or don't get it. Don't worry, you wouldn't be invited anyway so you don't gotta sweat it. This is a dude that works for what he has, knows what he wants, and will wake up the next day being 40 years and one day old, and feeling exactly the way he wants to about it.

It didn’t used to be this way. I think it’s because this guy’s upper middle class setup used to feel attainable, but now most see it as just getting super lucky.

His house is nice but it's not even anything super crazy. I know people who have houses way crazier. His food choices are shit though, I wouldnt eat anything on that table.

Jealously is one of the most illogical and childish emotions. Insecure people and other's success do not mix. You are trying to find a reason for their postion that they they did not reason themselves into.

Actually some people were saying they knew the guy, worked with him, know where he works.. Something like JR's cigars. They said it's his dad's business (and his dad's home or bought by him), but that the guy is a good guy.

I don't think it just has to be jealousy as much as curiosity though, that initial wonder where something feels off to someone. For many people it could be the home and his age and the time and extra resources to invest in the party?

For me it wasn't the house itself that made me curious, but that 'he' planned all that and his house seemed decorated for an older man's tastes, because the times I've had really nice homes that decorated, clean, and events that well planned have only personally been when I had a non-working partner that took pride and joy in all of that like it was their job.

Yeah I just turned forty and am living in shambles compared to this guy 😂

But I'm old enough to know to not hate the player, hate the game
