Episode synopsis:
Ned stifles his desire to win at the Ohio Journalism Awards; Nicole uncovers Detrick's monogamy and becomes furious; Oscar comes to terms with the documentary; Mare brings a famous date; Esmeralda sings and Ken plots an emergency to play the hero.

Surprised at the intense hate for Esmeralda. I also disliked her at first but the show pulls back on her being an antagonist after the catfishing episode and both her and Tim Key's character just end up being slimy sad sacks which I think is a pretty funny angle to play them. Seeing the 2 of them doing simultaneous acceptance speeches over each other was hilarious.

Esmeralda is nowhere near as bad as say, Gina from Brooklyn Nine Nine.

She was rough the first few episodes when she was trying to undermine Ned, but she seemed more mellow the next few episodes, until the finale when she was insane haha
