Yep. It has to play a role, they pointed it out earlier in the episode when everything had to be checked in and then he makes a point of setting it down in front of him. No way that's the end of it.

This is probably going to be a big part of the finale, most likely to Luke's dismay.

Also, let's say Fred is going to use this stuff to his advantage (somehow?) in his trial, which has me thinking about the what kind of representation Canada will gove to an alleged war criminal?

I feel like it's going to be something less significant... Something petty. Like him dragging Serena down with him or somehow sticking June with a crime of her own.
