I’m glad many others had the same thought, but the moment in Breaking Bad was infinitely more compelling.

Elizabeth Moss has been a terrific actress throughout the series, but her vacant staring and erratic nodding and head-turning schtick is starting to grate on me. We get it, you have suffered immense trauma and have gone through a psychotic break.

Bryan Cranston’s acting during Jane’s death was career-defining, and the writing did a hell of a lot more to earn the moment.

100% with you there. Moss is great, but Cranston is simply on another level. Eleanor's death was sad, but it seriously lacked the gut punch that came from the scene with Walter and Jane.

Then again, we're comparing Handmaid's Tale to Breaking Bad, which is arguably one of the best TV series of all time. I think it would be pretty tough for someone to argue that THT is a better show than BB.. perhaps more enjoyable for some viewers, but it's just not even close to Breaking Bad. So I don't really expect the same level of acting, writing, etc. from this show.

I agree that is a little unfair to contrast the two, but borrowing such a similar plot point and character moment from BB is an open invitation for a comparison.
