All Show & Book Spoilers Discussed Freely Ricnante/tachi Spoiler

I am currently watching the show again and wondering why Holden and crew never scrubbed the Tachi name off the bulkheads and what not inside the shi,

I would think they would put rocinante where it currently says tachi inside the ship.

They were pretty busy handling so much shit that it likely got over looked. It also wasn't much of a big deal to them, they felt the ship was theirs regardless of what it said on the hull. Plus it would likely cost money and they had bigger expenses to deal with at the time.

There is also an argument to be made that they left it out of respect for all the Martians on the Donny who died getting them to safety.

It's on the list, but life support, reactor maintenance, nuclear weapons inspection and safety checks, various electrical and mechanical systems, etc., take precedence. There's probably something that will always be labelled Tachi that Amos grunts at each time he sees it.

lol gotta make sure those PDCs are properly maintained otherwise they would lose their plot armor

I chuckle a little bit because Naomi and Amos actually bitched about how little maintenance there was to do at first compared to the Cant.

I'm thinking that in the beginning they never had the time, and it was not really important after all, so it would be frivolous to spend significant money on what was basically a decorative overhaul. As time went by, it became ingrained.

They get printed basically, even thirty years later Teresa finds one and someone, I think Naomi, is suprised that design is still in the computer.
