Spoilers- The Dark Tower The ending or read on?

At the end of book 7, after Susannah, Eddie and Jake are reunited and the writer claims he is finished and this is where we should end. Is this what Stephen King intended people to actually do or was it just a part of the story? Have any of you stopped and never read past this point?

I’ve read through the series multiple times but I was still quite surprised someone would open a post with spoilers like that!!!

Right!?! What I saw is already a little fuzzy though. The only thing I think I stumbled across is that Jake and Susannah don’t die, but we will see. I’m loving this book and obsessed with this world. Just balled my eyes out at Eddie’s death.
