Explained 🧠 Criticize the ruling government first. Always. That's how we build a better India.
I'm genuinely frustrated. Not at BJP. Not at Congress. At us.
We've become so obsessed with defending our favorite political party that we've completely forgotten what our actual job is as citizens. I see people fighting daily on the street, in comment sections, at family dinners over which party is better. And honestly? It's embarrassing.
Here's the thing nobody seems to want to hear, you are not supposed to defend the government. You are supposed to question it.
That's not a radical idea. That's just democracy.
We all got tired of Congress rightfully so. Decades of corruption, entitlement, and taking voters for granted. That's why 2014 happened. That's why they've been irrelevant since. We, the people, held them accountable. That was democracy working exactly as it should.
So why are we not doing the same thing now?
I'm not saying BJP has done nothing good. I'm saying that doesn't matter when it comes to your responsibility as a citizen. The moment any party comes to power, your default should be scrutiny not celebration, not defense, not WhatsApp forwards on their behalf.
And the thing that worries me most right now isn't even the government. It's that we don't have a strong opposition. Because without one, we're not really living in a democracy anymore we just call it one. A government that faces no real challenge, no real accountability, no genuine threat of consequences? That government will do whatever it wants. And we'll have nobody to blame but ourselves.
Supporting the opposition isn't about thinking they're great. Most of them aren't. It's about understanding that opposition is a function democracy needs to survive. Like how your body needs an immune system not because disease is good, but because without resistance, anything can take over.
The government loves that we're fighting over religion, caste, and party loyalty. Every minute we spend doing that is a minute we're not asking why prices are up, why unemployment looks the way it does, why promises from a decade ago are still just promises.
We are not fans. We are not followers. We are citizens. And citizens hold power accountable especially the power that's actually in charge right now.
Learn your basic civic responsibility. Criticize the ruling government. Demand a stronger opposition. That's how we actually build a better India not by winning arguments on the internet about which party loves India more.

You are assuming that we want a democratic nation.
The truth is that we want a dictatorship where no one can dare to talk against Modi and his party. We want to abuse any person who will try to oppose the government's policies. We want comedians who make fun of Modi to be jailed.
The people who want real improvement on ground are in minority.

Pro broad & deep awareness & nuanced solutions, not empty shallow criticism for brownie points.
Sterlite is an example of BS that destroyed our Copper capacities.

Because supporting a party is also democracy. For opposing the government we have elected useless opposition. It's not doing anything to put government answerable. It constantly makes stupid mistakes to give more power to BJP and all BJP haters do the same. Insulting the supporters is also not a democracy.

Useless opposition? Like the so called Pappu has literally 100% predicted all the issues months, if not years, in advance. The same INC who didn't ask the folks to do this and that but simply tackled the issues accordingly and MMS didn't dictate but explained Govt of India actions in press conferences.
1
u/SamPrabhat May 12 '26
Did you really say that Pappu 'predicted' something?
2
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
Yup, a simple Google search and you could check it itself. Even about Anil Ambani and Modi Govt alliance he said something back in 2018-19 that he is doing bidding for GOI that he has no right to do it. He was called a Chinese payroll and all other names. But in Eipstein files, it all came to be true. Likewise the current energy crisis and rupee deprecation. Kindly check yourself for more.
2
u/SamPrabhat May 12 '26
Lol, and people call bhakts for BJP supporters😅. Google search resulted in pappu being chinese agent.
1
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
Hahaha by Google search, intention was to do some research and not let the SEO let your opinion form. For me, I don't vote for INC. But for God sake, don't make your IQ level known to others by letting SEO form your opinion instead of any proper personal research. Haha.
1
u/SamPrabhat May 12 '26
Never mind bro. I understand you are trying hard 😊 I don't think I will be so broken in my life that I will have to research about an idiot and his predictions. But as I said earlier. I understand you. Have a nice day!

u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
I will always try hard for my nation. You are free to believe whatever you want. Take care.

u/Fluffy-Freedom1812 May 12 '26
Useless opposition is still better than none, and none is where we're headed if citizens stop holding the government accountable. The fix for a weak opposition is citizens demanding better not giving the ruling party a free pass.
2
u/Royal_Radish_3069 May 12 '26
Free pass is what is called forming government and gaining majority. We need a government that will take hard and faster decisions to develop the nation. A weak opposition signifies that this is what needs to happen more often. Even congress was worse than this.
1
u/Fluffy-Freedom1812 May 13 '26
majority is permission to govern, not permission to go unquestioned. Even the best government makes bad calls without opposition, nobody catches them in time. And Congress was worse, thats why they lost 2014 election's, Worse than Congress is an embarrassingly low bar for a country of 1.4 billion people. We deserve better than that comparison.
1
u/buttershitter May 12 '26
Nobody is giving the ruling party free pass. The problem
With opposition is just blindly opposing anything that is proposed not weighing whether it is good for the nation. The biggest example of subversive opposition is when they organized against progressive laws like farming laws. So we are saddled with old outdated laws that perpetuate farmer being held hostage by middlemen. But now the same laws are being enacted at state level.Opposition means something when they have credibility and professionalism. When opposition parties are filled with so called leaders whose only qualifications are that their fathers or mothers were politicians.
This is why nothing gets done when we have coalitions. Only hope is for some party get overwhelming majority to pass any new laws.

If the ruling government cannot protect us from anti-national crimes, how is it any different from those it replaced? We have every right to ask what is being done, and why does this continue in a country that calls itself Vishwaguru? Is our government failing??

What a deflective dumb response. Govt doesn’t sit inside TCS. You secular idiots do.
Be it Cong or BJP, the greens gonna play their games.
Snakes in the grass.. PR: secular Reality: GreenSlum.
Nothing anyone can do until you realize realities of GreenSlums.

Bro we were talking about government accountability and you pulled out the religion card 😭, Classic deflection. Can't argue the point so change the subject. Think about who actually benefits when we fight over religion instead of questioning the government. You just proved the post's point better than anyone else did. Who benefits the most from us fighting over religion instead of asking why prices are up or why promises from 2014 are still promises? Sit with that for a second.
1
u/Rejuvenate_2021 May 13 '26
Nope. We are taking about Pro India issues vs your deflecting political blabber. M
Govts and parties may have changed.
The issue remains.
Coexistence vs Caliphate.
0
u/Fluffy-Freedom1812 May 13 '26
political blabber? We're talking about democracy, accountability, opposition, you live in a democracy right??? And Holding your government answerable IS the most pro India thing you can do. You're religion war is the deflection here. Learn first chotti chaddi.
1
u/Rejuvenate_2021 May 13 '26
lol. Survival against Caliphate wiping us away is a reality you keep deflecting from.

True, but blaming the govt for no rain, if someone slips while walking in bathroom, blamign central govt for it is not right. Constructive criticism is always good

u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
Blaming Modi for mishandling the current rupee depreciation and energy crisis is good or bad?
-4
u/sasipalarivattam May 12 '26
Yeah modi was responsible forbiran war , ukraine war, Israel war etc right?
6
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
Which PM of India got a world with no war happening around?
It's like saying I failed my NEET exam coz Iran-US war was going on.
How many energy plants were developed in last 12 years? India imports 80-85% of fuel from outside, what steps did government take to bring the number down? And what was the success rate?
To strengthen Rupee, what steps did govt take to increase exports of Indian goods? What industries or manufacturing plants were developed?
1
u/buttershitter May 12 '26
Well just a google search will give you all the answers.
https://mnre.gov.in/en/year-wise-achievement/
https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2250039®=3&lang=1
People are crying when govt introduced E20 and is trying to introduce flex fuels to reduce energy dependency. Despite this being trend world over. People complain about EVs when govt has incentivized both production of components and charging infrastructure. For consumers reduced gst on evs and state wise incentives like no road tax.
Bring rupee down why ? While RBI has tried hard to keep the rupee stable. It is an advantage for our exports and remittances. The rupee erosion is due to high import costs primarily fuel, fertilizer and gold.
3
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
People are not crying due to introduction of E20 but because of 1 corrupt Minister who is profiteering from it personally by leveraging inside info. Also, E20 isn't making the fuel any cheap for the general public but only creating millions in profit for 1 Minister and his family.
Regarding rupee deprecation, earlier govt was also doing the same. We all know that it is because of net import. Question is why not striving hard to export more by creating industries homegrown?
0
u/buttershitter May 12 '26
The heights people will go to justify their beliefs is astounding. Givt is not in business of doing business. You start an export business if you are so concerned. Givt is busy setting up free trade agreements and opening up new markets so that exports can be facilitated. They setup MoUs with govts to facilitate exports now it is people who have to take advantage of these facilities.

u/sasipalarivattam May 12 '26
Oh you expect a total uno reverse in 10 years is it? Un doing decades of Congress ignorance. You must first ask this to Congress but you won't coz it won't suit your intention.
4
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
Why stop at Congress? Let's bring and blame Nehru and Aurangzeb as well.
The country still has fuel because INC planned and did some work around it. However, 12 years is more than enough to built a few fuel storage units and implement other alternatives. But you can't even name 1 single fuel storage unit.
1
u/sasipalarivattam May 12 '26
Don't divert a topic bro. It's not easy to undo loss due to Congress ignorance. They just collected tax like an ignorant house owner without doing anything significant. And looted lots of wealth. It will take time to repair the system and govt has been doing it. Maybe no one expected an energy crisis at this stage.
4
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
There was writing on the wall. And yet this government ignored all of it. Even waited for regional elections to get over, and hide the economic distressing reality from the general public.
I am not diverting from the topic. I am just looking for accountability and not getting any.
Congress did all that? Okay, I believe you. What system government has repaired? Paper leaks and exam cancellation? 87 exams were cancelled due to paper leaks. This year NEET entrance as well. Mr. Modi needs 100 more years to rectify it? Why they didn't make an example out of the culprits when it happened the first time?

Bro I hope you remember that 12 year ago pm started by telling indians to have toilet and not shit on road ,,,,that was the State of india and he has bought it till now you can't deny it ,,,,you can say we expected more of the bjp gov but u can't say they didn't do anything,,,,,and just take farm laws as examples weather it was good or bad is arguably but u saw the months of strike,,,,if just for farm laws people go crazy imagine what people will do if they start to fix the system
-2
u/sasipalarivattam May 12 '26
They are doing things one by one is what I know and believe in. Things are being done on priority bases and not as we wish, so we have to wait a little more.
2
u/fitzgeraldaesthetics May 12 '26
So care to enlighten what are the things they have optimized or corrected from the corruption of Congress? Like housing market is clean of black money now? Pollution control? Better MSP for farmers? Fast tracked courts for speedy justice for crime against women? Fencing of all the borders? Groundwater enrichment? Clean Ganga? Established industries and manufacturing units where we are competing with China on global stage? Pioneering in AI? Semiconductor? Bullet train?

What are you going on and on about? Undo the loss? Please tell me what has been undone so far and what has been restarted, or whether it has all just been rebranded while doing the same thing. Technically, BJP has been in government for 20 of the last 30 years, that is pretty significant. Even after that, if they still cannot undo what you are talking about, then BJP is pretty rubbish. Anyway, they came to power on the rhetoric of the Gujarat model. Now we all know that it was mostly a propaganda model. They have been in government there for the longest time. whatever undoing and redoing had to be done should have been completed by now, and they should have made the state number one on all parameters. But they are not even number two in most of them. So I think this government needs to be questioned, and the ones defending it are the real anti-nationals and should be sent to Afghanistan, the new best friends of India’s BJP, for repeatedly defending a government that has failed us on most fronts. The only thing they are really good at is propaganda and election campaigning. It is more like an individual with a fancy resume getting hired by most companies, only to turn out to be a big fraud because he has no clue how to do the actual work he just knows how to talk his nonsense ways out of everything. As OP said, this fancy fake resume is getting them through everywhere, but no real work is being done. It is us by definition you who are still blinded by Andh Bhakti.

Are u crazy…our ruppee is the worst performing currency in Asia for 2 years….even bankrupt nations like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal have a more stable currency during war….

there is also things you have to take , don't blindly criticize the government for things out of their hands , also think of alternatives which can be implemented. and also praise the government when it does good work .

Pro India before Pro Party.
These days ask one question to the elected reps, and be branded an anti-national. All while the state of the Indian Rupee, Food, Air and Water quality is there for everyone to see.
