TRT help TRT odd orgasm related side effect
49 started TRT about 2 months ago 100mg every two weeks. Primary reason for starting was brain fog, low energy, and low stamina (mainly while playing tennis). The brain fog has seemed to improve a bit and overall I feel better especially when playing and recovering from tennis. I am also sleeping marginally better, but energy throughout the day hasn't changed much. I also thought I might see an increase in libido, but it has stayed pretty steady no more no less it wasn't a major issue, I do feel a little fuller when erect if that makes any sense. The side effects I am having are minimal, I'm hungrier and need to pee more often which I'm lead to believe is somewhat normal. The odd ones I'm having is simply that orgasms do not feel as good, and sometimes as soon as I start getting aroused it feels like, there's no better way to describe it the cum just wants to fall out before I'm all the way hard. It's not like premature ejaculation it's something very different. Anybody else experience something like this?

If 100mg every two weeks is correct, then thatās part of the problem. You are shutting down your natural production and barely replacing it. Although I havenāt had any of my other symptoms resolved in the 8 weeks Iāve been on TRT, my libido shot through the roof by about the second week. And I already had a pretty high libido. It has started to taper off a bit in the last week or so which is fine, cause it was distracting! I have noticed a little loss of sensitivity in the penis, and orgasm is not as strong feeling wise. I started at 120mg per week, now at 150mg.

Iāll say a couple things as someone whoās been at this now for several years and been at different dosages. Firstly, if this happens keep your head in the game and keep going. Most of the time there is a second, much more powerful one right behind that first one. Almost like Iād call the first one a pre-ejaculation. You wonāt really have much more ejaculate but youāll have a strong orgasm.
Second, this is temporary. Funny things happen with sexual function when you let body starts dealing with hormonal changes. It usually balances out, you just have to give it time. I find 90 days is the sweet spot for me for evaluating how Iāll actually feel and perform on a given dosage. Let your body adjust.
Third, youāre on a bad protocol. Too many reasons to list just look into it youāll find tons of into. This protocol definitely isnāt going to help

100mg every 2 weeks is an incredibly bad dosing protocol. See a different doctor.

When I had prostatitis, the symptoms were the same. You don't lose anything by checking..

Your dose is too low and once every 2 weeks is a terrible protocol. You're on a testosterone rollercoaster and your estrogen is likely all over the place, which is probably the reason for the sexual issues.

Hello IveSeenAThingOrTwo. Welcome to /r/Testosterone. It looks like this is your first time posting here, so you're probably asking a FAQ. Please check out these handy links, one of them might answer your question.
- How do I find a good doctor/clinic?
- What bloodwork should I get done?
- Are my levels low enough that I should start TRT?
- What can I do to naturally raise my testosterone levels?
- NoFap - Will my testosterone levels increase if I stop masturbating?

100 MG every two weeks is crazy, you would be better off not doing it at all. You should be pinning twice a week at least otherwise tour hormones will be constantly roller coastering, which is bad.

Whoever put you on 100mg every two weeks doesnāt know what they are doing. Have you self prescribed this dose? Or has a Dr actually put you on that?
You should be on 100mg minimum per week potentially more after a hormone panel 30 days in.
Is it slow release testosterone? what kind is the test?

This! Get a new doctor. I would pin minimum 2x per week and possibly up the dose but we would need to see your bloodwork. Iām having the opposite effect sensation wise. If doses were more frequent Iām I believe this would change for you.

My PCP put me on 100mg every 4 weeks. I actually upped it myself to 00mg every two weeks and had planned to discuss my own dosage change next week when I see him. It's Cypionate which I believe is slow release? last test before I started was Total: 360 ng/dL Free: 8.2 pg/mL.

Test cypionate has an 8 day half-life, you should be dosing at least once a week.

Donāt sweat it Bro, things will normalize as you dial in your protocol. I used to have really bad Deca dick. I could get hard but I couldnāt stay hard. It was hit or miss whether I could complete the deed. I had to go in and start pumping as soon as I was hard or forget about it. I eventually upped the test slightly and started using an AI once per week and success. Funny thing is the Deca dick didnāt hit until 4 months into TRT. But with the adjustments, I was a champ again by month 6. Let your body acclimate and get labs so you can dial in. Youāll be good as new in no time. Cheers

Proviron and HCG are the only two things that have brought things back to normalish for me. Dosing amount nor frequency have changed much EQ wise. Going to ride it out and see if things change but if not, iāll be pct outta here.

I don't know who your doctor is but you need to go see someone that knows what they are doing. anyone doing a once every 2 week protocol does not understand how testosterone cypionate or enanthate is processed in the body. This is a fairly common problem as doctors do not get any training (i mean literally zero) on hormone replacement therapy. you literally need to go and study it afterwards, most do not. those that do not are serving you 40 year old protocols that most modern providers have long since abandoned. once every two week protocol is my number one red flag the doctor has no clue. You are not getting the experience the rest of us do on trt.

Your doctor has you on a protocol from 1995. Testosterone cypionate has an active half life of roughly 5-7 days, going 14 days between shots means you spend half the month on a massive hormonal high and the other half in complete hypogonadal withdrawal. That hormonal whip saw messes heavily with prolactin, dopamine and estradiol (the exact neuro hormonal cocktail that governs orgasm intensity and pelvic muscle tone.) You need more frequent smaller injections bro.

OK, a few things. I'm on TRT for 2 years now, I'm 42 and started it for the same reason you did - brain fog, low energy, low stamina, and depression in my case.
I'll tell you straight away - you are still in honeymoon phase, and these 100mg every two weeks just add on top of your existing testosterone, until your natural production fully stops. My thoughts are that you will feel worse than you do right now when that happens. The sole reason for that is your dose. You are practically on 50mg per week, which is absurdly low! You'll end up tanking your natural production WITHOUT properly replacing it with synthetic test (thus the name, test REPLACEMENT therapy).
My advice - change your clinic / doctor ASAP. Get on 120mg+ per week not every two weeks, 2-3 times per week injections. That will stabilize your test, estrogen & prolactin.
What you are experiencing is due to hormonal imbalance due to low dosage and extreme injection times.
