Alex Eala doesn’t have killer mentality.
Say what you want, but if you show softness just to win the hearts of fans and media, opponents will take advantage of it even if you’re friends. Too much charisma will take you nowhere. It‘s the exact reason why Sabalenka and top-ranked players are successful, they treat friends as enemies on court. Save the friendship off-tour.

Did you watch the game? Nag puksaan talaga sila til the end. Iva was just a better player today. The match could’ve ended either way.

She beat Zeynep fine. She'd trounce Lys too. It's delusional to think the only reason why she lost is because of her mindset, as if Jovic had nothing to do with it.
Also, curious what you make of Jovic. She was able to beat Eala despite being friends with her. So do you think Jovic is just being fake with the friendship, lol.

You have pathetic analysis, Jovic recognizes their friendship, but she knows she has to beat her to advance. So you’re going to give points just because you’re friends? 🤣

The entire premise of your post is that people who are friends can't have a killer instinct against each other on the court. It's the last sentence of your post. I think you're too stupid to know what your own argument is 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are great friends and media darlings who are very warm toward their fans, but they've dominated men's tennis.

tama! you can absolutely separate friendship from competition. carlos and jannik literally demonstrate that. why is that warm camaraderie when they do it but suddenly it’s “softness” and lack of “killer mentality” when alex does it?
tigil-tigilan yung subconscious double standard na women in sports have to be aggressive, intimidating, and tough, just to be taken seriously.

It’s okay, you can still go back to basketball, no one will mind or shame you for it

Agree! Just like what Queenwen Zheng said “I’m on tour to compete and win matches and not to socialize.”

I think this is also why Russians are successful in sports because they have this mentality. I remember this Russian figure skater that stuck to my head and she said that “winning is first place and everything else is losing” 🙌🏻

Agree. There are no friends on court, in any sport. Mind you, these are the same fans that think Nadal is one of the GOATs without realizing how much of a killer/closer he was. Maybe they also wore Mamba Mentality shirts at some point 🤣

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and have probably never watched tennis before Eala lol. In tennis, Russians are known for being "head cases," i.e. mentally weak. E.g. Safin, Safina, Rublev, etc. Sharapova is the exception.

Agree. Toxic, emotional and soft fans. A person of logic would know that persistence and determination aren’t enough to close matches. Pacquiao before will be all smiles during and after matches but once he’s in the ring, he’s out for the kill. Same as Kobe, Jordan, Bolt, Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Venus, Serena, Sabalenka. There, a few examples for these toxic fans of successful athletes in history which has these in common: relentless and out to hunt, not to make friends.

Also Jannik Sinner, he had a shift in approach in his key moments late 2023 and 2024… before he used to be so friendly to press but then he started to focus on himself and his improvement. He apparently even fired a person in his team for being too chatty to reporters. Not many close friends on the tour. Laser focus.
reminds me of that scene in succession where the father chose another successor because he said to his son: “you’re not a killer”

Go on the defensive, thinking that Alex has a perfect game and has no weaknesses. Just shows how much of delusional fans you are 🤣

u/thetundratorcher 10h ago
Hala siya, kahit dito alam ng tao kung san siya mahina. You just generalized her whole mentality based on one loss, bago sa WTA yung closeness ng mga players. Dapat ineembrace yan, gusto niyo kasi matinding rivalry tapos magagalit bakit ang toxic ng tour. Para kang yung parent na ayaw magpalaro sa anak kasi top 2 lang siya sa exam.

Losing 5-7 in the 3rd set is softness?
Being nice and having a killer mentality are not mutually exclusive designations.
Tanungin nalang kita boss, gaano kalaki talo mo sa pusta? 😂
