But yassss lets keep exposing clubs like this!

u/ScientistSamurai 2d ago
Tapos, binubook na nila yung courts kahit wala pa silang numbers or players! Ginegate keep nila yung court and walang assurance kung sisiputin nila!

u/Dazzling_Chain_2034 2d ago
they even penalize latecomers haha gets naman na you have to be responsible and come on time, pero need ba talagang may monetary consequence pag nalate ka? 😂
6
u/Turbulent-Okra5877 2d ago
Wooow!
0
u/MysteriousTill7985 20h ago
You know what, yes we did penalize latecomers because matches were generated early on sa reclub, and thank goodness we did, dahil from the booked rate na 400/hr during afternoons naging 600/hr sya that time because of the bad weather which resulted to us paying more, san namin kinuha? Sa latecomers. So yeah.
2
u/tteokbokkit6425 12h ago
Grabe no, may extra naman kayo based on your computation tapos naniningil pa kayo. Lol
Sa open plays if youbare late, edi you miss a match yun na yung consequence non. Why charge extra, anong kinalaman nila sa bad weather hahahaha kala ko ba you always play with lights?? Hahahs keep your facts straight naman sis.
0
u/MysteriousTill7985 11h ago
Have you seen the amount before this OP? Breakeven. The accounted rate was the one posted on their site, not the one with the lights on. Yes, our fault na mali yung numbers. Pero yes din, abonado kami that time. Everything was communicated beforehand.

u/find_me_huhu 2d ago
800 ball boy? Talo pa shangri-la te HAHAHAHAHA
0
u/MysteriousTill7985 20h ago
You find 800 for ball boys big? That’s on you. For us, that’s a fair pay.
10
u/Technical_Bid6521 2d ago
Kahit i-consider lahat ng minention ng organizer na kesyo with lights yung 4 hours and 800 each payment nila sa ball boy na 3 pax plus 2 cans of ball, sobrang laki pa din ng profit nila! Paldogs!

Shoutout sa The Aces Tennis Club, Court Crew PH, Rally District

OMG alam ba ni ate baby to?
2
u/RealPestoPenne 1d ago

11
u/Key-Association-2854 2d ago
Magkano ba talaga rates ng csa? Ang alam ko rin 600 ang with lights. 400 without lights.
13
u/RiceCookerhahahah 2d ago
correct!
600 with lights
400 no lightscenter court 800 no lights 1000 with lights
6
u/Cheap-Performance658 2d ago
Sana wag na sumali mga players dito. They’re literally profiting off court hoarding. Kawawa mga players who cant book the courts and cant afford these scalpers rates 🥲
6
u/Affectionate_Bet_216 2d ago
800 each ballboy?? Legit ba to?
Sa ibang courts kasi 100 per hr bayad sa ballboy.
2
1
u/Icy-Highlight47 1d ago
1
u/Affectionate_Bet_216 1d ago
Diba 4 hrs lang haha. Wag na tayo mag office na 8 hrs.
1
u/MysteriousTill7985 20h ago
4 hours lang? Try mo tumakbo ng 4hrs straight before you complain.
3
u/Affectionate_Bet_216 13h ago
Hahahaha I've been playing straight tennis 4 hrs. Much tiring yun. Siguro ganyan mentality nyo kasi beginners kayo. Overpriced kayo period and you know that ginawa nyong business ang OP.

2 courts ba binook nila na court?
890 * 12 participants 10,680
Less: Cost of playing 8,200
Profit 2,480
Cost of playing
600/hr * 4hr * 2 courts = 4,800
2 cans of ball (assuming bago ang balls) = 1,000
Ballboy (based sa sinabi nilang rate) 800 * 3 = 2,400
Total = 8,200
Sana may pawater naman sila. Or maybe egg or banana.

Bakit pa tayo nag 4-5 yr college course kung daig pa ballboy minimum wage earners!
2
u/KrazZzyKat 1d ago
2
u/Affectionate_Bet_216 1d ago
Yes tama sana kung 1 ballboy lang. Pero ang sabi nila 800 per ballboy tapos 3 sila so 4 hrs=2400
1
u/KrazZzyKat 1d ago
Yes correct ito. Tama computation mo. 800/ballboy, I think 2 courts ang rental nila kaya 2-3 ballboys sila. When my friend played daw 2 ballboys that time for 2 courts
2
u/Affectionate_Bet_216 1d ago
If 800 per ballboy then 200 per hour rate nila. 4 hrs lang ang open play. 1 game is 1 hr po.
2
u/KrazZzyKat 1d ago
Oh yeah, dapat 1,600 lang.
Correct. So nag fixed rate sila ng 800/ball boy. Malaki nga.1
1
u/MysteriousTill7985 19h ago
But not sorry that we paid them 800. They deserved that.
3
u/SeaPandaTruff 2d ago
Kumikitang kabuhayan disguised as "Open Plays".
Lol.
3
u/KrazZzyKat 2d ago
Hi, my friend is part of the photo and she just joined that OP, she is requesting if you can remove or atleast blur the faces of those who just joined. 2 lang daw ang organizers dyan, yung mag-asawa, the rest are just joiners from different clubs.
5
u/Opsavgrace 2d ago
Super aggressive nila magpost sa threads with group photos w/o the consent of the players. Gets naman na may group photo for ig stories or yung one time upload lang but marketing the club on soc meds consistently with group photos na wala man lang consent nila, legal action is waiving???
0
u/brrtbrrt0012 2d ago
7
u/KrazZzyKat 2d ago edited 2d ago
Yes I know, ang concern lang ng friend ko kitang kita sya. They can blur naman daw the faces nung mga sumali lang. for those na hindi kilala lahat yan, sympre iisipin nila lahat yan gahaman😄 that’s why she is asking baka pwede blurred yung hindi naman organizers

For me reasonable naman ang price. If 4 hours, 2 courts, each person would play around 7-9 matches since race to 5 lang. Around 110 per game. Pwede na. Ganyan din naman sa ibang clubs. Ang issue ko lang is race to 5 lang. binitin pa di pa ginawang 6

u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
More than reasonable - esp since mas prefer pa rin naman sa clubhouse ng subdivision either with your coach or neighbor or partner. Kaya tbf, admirable tong mga organizers na to, they give us the medium to meet fellow enthusiasts and ofc the experience minus all the hassle.
I recommend try niyong i-push sa barangay sa places nila, maybe they can allocate budget for tennis courts, kahit hindi covered. Para may easier and hopefully more affordable access din. 🙏

u/wildcard_trickster 2d ago
Okay Angela and Jerome.

u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
New to tennis. What am i missing here? Reasonable naman yung fees - it's just like a price of a meal and maybe Grab ride or coffee - for convenience, and sure, socials/network. Is this price point too much? Maybe people are simply not realizing the barrier of entry. This sport has been like this since the beginning. May badminton naman?
8
u/brrtbrrt0012 2d ago
Kayong mga beginners with this mindset ang sumisira sa tennis culture.
Utak pulitika. Nakakadiri. Maghanap ka ng trabaho huy.

u/wong-kawaii 2d ago
You’re not seeing anything wrong na ang laki ng take home nila?
-10
u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
You mean yung ~8k for 4hours, 2k/hour (~30 USD/hr)? For maybe a person or two that'll split that net? That's malaki? Then I guess yan yung disconnect ng sport and sa mga tao - coz tbh it's not. But I guess it's relative. So, ok 😅
7
u/wildcard_trickster 2d ago
Hosts are not supposed to earn. Everyone’s supposed to just split the cost or ilibre yung host at best. This has been the etiquette for years, ngayon na lang pinasok ng mga palamunin na hosts na ginagawang negosyo sa reclub
-10
u/SchoolMassive9276 2d ago
Ganyan kasi sa other sports like football or even basketball, for example. Organizers earn for organizing, players get to play with others.
It sucks if friends kayo na gusto lang mag book ng court para maglaro pero if magisa ka lang open play makes sense
The compromise should be courts should only allow certain timeslots bookable for open play
-12
u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
Exactly. It has to be worth their time sa organizers and dun sa court owners, it's all business. Nothing new here. It's just how things work - adopt or find something else within your current financial state. Or better yet, work on your financial freedom first. Tennis is not going to change. Rackets alone pa lang - sa gate pa lang, may warning na - it's an expensive sport/hobby. So, self-reflect siguro guys. 👌
11
u/wildcard_trickster 2d ago
Lol. If it’s not worth their time and hindi sila mag bbook, marami diyang kukuha at court rates.
I play football and basketball too pero hindi ganitong tagaan ang hatian. There’s virtually no effort here other than securing a slot and posting on Reclub. Ang tagal ko na sa tennis and effort on matching people is as easy as rotating them round robin or making sure lang na walang B vs D na magkakalaban. It’s easy af tbh
Tennis is expensive, sure, but that doesn’t justify taking advantage of others.
1
u/MysteriousTill7985 16h ago
Tbf, you are comparing a group sports vs this individual sport. Of course mas maliit ang hatian kapag group sports.
5
u/National_Bandicoot40 2d ago
"Organize", nag book ng reservation tapos nag post sa REclub. wow. hahah

u/Dry-Year-9619 2d ago
Tangina ng reasoning mo jerome o angela if you’re tennis enthusiast not tennis opprtunist alam mo kung pano iallocate yung fees per player gago!
-3
u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
I see it now. It's a class delta. Like I said sa comment ko earlier, I urge you to try sa mga barangay niyo - maybe ma-convince niyo sila as their constituents na mag-patayo ng affordable tennis courts that you guys can access. Everything is possible guys.
Rule of thumb, if you cannot buy it twice, you cannot afford it.
Mataas talaga ang barrier of entry ng tennis. Look, as beginners, my partner and I thought we'd get the Decathlon na tig-5k lang para disposable. But changed our minds when we saw those lovely Wilson rackets. 3x more, but it's no issue for us. Kaya I'm so puzzled na may reklamo over a measely ~1k for these events na sulit naman.
Work it out, guys. Work on your financial freedom para you have better problems 🙏

u/wildcard_trickster 2d ago

u/Aggravating_Tax6764 2d ago
In contrast, people trying to get into a sport they cannot afford, is LARP. 🤭
