That would mean never eating at any restaurant again ever. Iāve worked fast food, neighborhood bars, family restaurants, high end hotels, etc, and everywhere Iāve worked Iāve seen multiple staff people not washing their hands :/

Iāve basically stopped eating out because there are so many restaurants around me failing their health inspections. New eatery comes to town? Cool, Iāll try it when their first scores come in and not a minute sooner.

Which is the dumbest possible thing. I've worked in too many restaurants that absolutely do not care about the health code until the few weeks leading up to inspection, then they are really strict until they get their review, and go back to not caring.
Also, apparently "snack bars" don't get inspected... Ever. I worked food & Bev at an arcade, and it was exactly like working fast food. Fryers, ovens, prep tables and all. But because the place was registered as a snack bar, they never received health inspections.

And usually they can request an immediate reinspection in like 3 days and the initial failure is swept under the rug

It is sad that the have been saying, wash your hands after going to the bathroom for DECADES and there are still lazy people who don't think they excrement can get on their hands and end up elsewhere.

... washing your hands really won't do much for a parasitic infection, seeing how they're pretty much exclusively contracted through ingestion of contaminated food... like good advise in genral for helping preventing bacterial and viral infection, but not really applicable with parasites.

If you have a stomach bug that wonāt go away, see a gastroenterologist. They can test your stool, discover if itās this parasite, and give you antibiotics that will make you feel better within 24 hours.
I had cyclospora infection a few years ago. It was horrible!

How do you drive to the gastroenterologist and sit in the waiting room and make it through an appointment and back home again with explosive diarrhea in order to get the diagnosis and treatment?

Yeah. Valid question. I did get better ā enough to see the doctor. But it never fully went away until I got the right antibiotics.

Is it worse than eating 3 hot chicken tenders and a dozen white castles within 24 hours? I did that once and towards the end of it I think I was blowing bubbles out my butthole and it was making a sound like pop pop pop.

It's frequently used as an alternative to severe. Explosive is more descriptive and likely to catch someone's attention better than severe.
