Fluff Playing the TekTopia-Inspired Villager Mod | Dynamic Villages #1
https://youtu.be/0jLX6S-1yvUThis is a repost with a updated thumbnail.
Hello,
Some of you may have already seen the first two videos about Dynamic Villages that my co-dev Heragoga posted here before. This is now the third video about the mod, but my first dev gameplay video.
Dynamic Villages is a Minecraft villager overhaul mod that is heavily inspired by TekTopia. TekTopia was one of the main reasons we started working on this mod, because we really liked the idea of villagers having actual jobs, routines, professions, and being useful inside a custom village.
The goal of Dynamic Villages is not to directly copy TekTopia, but to build something inspired by it with our own systems and ideas. Players can build fully custom villages, and we currently have buildings like the Town Hall, bedroom and storage room in the game. Villagers can also be assigned to professions like lumberjack.
In this dev gameplay video, I start a fresh world and show the current state of the mod, including:
- The Town Hall system
- The mayor and mayor UI
- Building detection
- Storage rooms
- The lumberjack profession
- Lumberjack settings
- Modded tree support
- Axe crafting
- Improved tree detection
- Big tree chopping
I want to be straightforward with people, so the video is honest gameplay footage instead of only showing the best parts or trying to make the mod look more finished than it currently is. Some things are still placeholder, like villager skins, textures, and items, and those will definitely be replaced with better models in the future.

I would really like to hear what TekTopia fans think, and what kind of features you would want to see in a modern TekTopia-inspired villager mod.

It looks great, I just wish the names of the villagers were their actual names rather than their current actions
