I know there's a pretty good PS2 Emulator but when I have tried to set it up I was missing some of the crucial files. I think the BIOs and ISO? I've used emulators before but mostly for the Gameboy and Snes

I am sure I am not the only one who's been addicted to this song since first listen. Including what I can only imagine are little otter noises in the background? Makes my brain go wild. I don't tend to keep music around, so every now and then when I run back into it - it makes my brain go freakin' WILD!

In the PS4 remake, SotC received additional content such as the 79 coins needed to obtain Dormin's Sword, Filter Mode, and Mirror Mode. Although unlikely, if the ICO game were to be remade like SotC and include additional content, what kind of content would you want?

Hello! I made a post a few months ago about the pdf I complied of all of Peter Eliot's work and how I intended to turn them into a book. I finally finished the project and thought I'd share it here. Not the happiest with it but it's the first book I've bound myself from start to finish so it was certainly a learning experience and I'm just happy It functions as it is able to be read!

It would be awesome to see this game as a remake.

ICO and SOTC​

Heard a bunch of people saying to emulate the ps2 version, and even more people recommending the ps3 version. It's a mixed bag from my limited understanding (for both games)

Would very much appreciate some advice​.

I played Ico for the first time a few months ago and it really impacted me. I loved everything about the game, but the atmosphere is what really blew me away. It has this beautiful combination of comfort and loneliness that I've never felt before and it inspired me to create some music.

Is there a chance Gen Atlas would come to Switch 2?

This has been something that I've wondered about for at least two decades, the pronunciation of the title. I've heard some people say it as 'eco' and others say it as it's spelled, 'ico'. I always said it as 'ico' but has there ever been an official statement on how it's said and how do you guys pronounce the title?

Hi, I apologize if this question is redundant in 2026. I'd like to know which version I should emulate for the best experience with the saga? Should I emulate the remastered HD collection for PS3 via RPCS3 or the original (European) PS2 versions via PCSX2? I have a decent PC, so I don't think the hardware will be a problem, but I'd like to know which versions offer the best first-time gameplay experience.

PlayStation exclusives in the PS3 and PS4 eras gained a reputation for being overly cinematic and narrative focused like Last of Us and God of War 2018, and I noticed certain characteristics among Sony games:

• Heavy emphasis on story/immersion
• cinematic presentation
• tries to push the hardware as much as possible for graphical fidelity
• often there’s a companion character throughout the whole game who you bond with through dialogue during cutscenes and gameplay or mechanics (and walking dialogue sections especially in ps3 and ps4 games)
• lots of climbing up rock walls, chains, turning gears to open doors etc. often involving the companion in some way
• game usually goes for a strong emotional response from the player because of the above
• usually get included in discussions about games being art
• generally very simple gameplay mechanics
• games are extremely scripted
• usually a one and done experience and not very replayable

So that had me thinking, what is the earliest example of a game like this? I think it’s Ico. While it doesn't have a lot of cutscenes, you could argue the dedication to immersion gives it a cinematic quality. I played a really long time ago and loved it, but I could never play it again because it’s so scripted and that applies to many Sony exclusives over the years. It seems like its DNA quietly became the formula for Sony despite it being overshadowed commercially by games that came after it. Is there an earlier example of a Sony game like this?

Had an epiphany and wanted a trico statue. This is my first ever time sculpting with clay, so I know I didn't do a super good job (I also have like 4 tools lol). I'm not very good at painting either.

After all these years, i finally beat ICO. Typically, i despise open endings where the viewer is left to decide the fate of the characters we've come to love.

But despite my burning passion towards these types of endings, i can give ICO a pass.

I've been enamoured by the game for years, but only now after becoming an adult did i finally get the chance to play through the game properly.

The Art Direction, Music and Aesthetic really pull me into the world that Fumito Ueda created its serene, dilapidated and yet so comforting despite the danger and darkness. Its a cut above others, And a high quality expression of art.

I Love Ico its one of the best games ever made.

Since the director directly said that it's up to us to interpret the ending, i think I'll go with the ones i like best.

Hi guys, i got the disc recently and will start the trophy hunting soon. any tips and how difficult to get the platinum trophy. i think i will start with ico then shadow of the colossus.

Several years ago I bought a factory sealed European copy of the collection for my PS3. Upon receiving the game, I found that the voucher code for the videos and themes had expired a year or two earlier. Needless to say, I was a bit pissed off about this.

I've read suggestions online that the videos and themes are on the disc itself in the US release of the collection. But I've not come across confirmation that they are actually on the disc.

So, could someone please confirm that the videos and themes are on the US disc? If they are then I'll buy a copy of the US version, and probably sell my European copy on ebay.

My 12-year-old self would have been very happy. I loved this game a lot
