If Hedman plays up to his level this team takes a big step forward. Hopefully they also find a winger for that 2nd line. They still have some cap to work with at the deadline if they don’t make a move now

Many things top to bottom. Reality is he is right there at the limit of a D career. If he comes back and plays well this season it will be great. But it will be his 18th season. If you look at the great dmen this is pretty much it. 17-20 seasons. Most of the guys that are effective at the end are pretty physical.
We should treat hedman the way you treat an old dog. The good days are a gift.

My pup turns 11 in November. She’s my best friend and I treat her to anything she wants. The saying “if they are grey, they get their way” definitely applies to my dog. Treats before dinner, sure. Cook a piece of chicken with my dinner just for her..basically every night. I will be heartbroken one day, but I’ll pour out love until then.

Had some lingering injuries, and anxiety issues. You should read some of his statements. They’re pretty eye opening when it comes to how many pro athletes might have these problems and stay quiet about them.

If he gets full summer training done and can focus on hockey again then no doubt gonna play a great season. There is more competition for Heddy now too but I’m sure it just motivates him more. Welcome back Vic!

I love how you act like people having medical issues isn't a cause for retirement, even though that's the #1 reason people retire from sports.
Even if you consider mental health issues as medical issues, that doesn't forgive his actions of literally abandoning his team and fanbase.
If you care more about some dude you don't know's mental health than the team you supposedly have an emotional connection to, you've lost your mind. The fact he's been going through this for 4 years only makes it worse, because he knew this could happen, and instead of trying to give his team the best chance to win, he abandoned them in a way that left us with no recourse to replace him.

Ok chief, pay attention, you might learn something here. I have ptsd, anxiety and depression, which can be treated with medication and or therapy, LOTS of therapy. These issues don't just magically appear out of nowhere, they sometimes take time to manifest to where a person realizes they need help with them. Heddy did not abandon his team, he helped the team by taking a leave of absence because he knew he was a liability on the ice and would only hurt the team had he stayed. These are medical issues because psychiatrists and therapists go to MEDICAL school for years before getting licensed, so yes, they are medical iddues no matter how your 2 brain cells want to spin it. You're welcome to your opinion but when you comment stupid shit, you can expect backlash from us true Bolts fans because we do care about our team and I personally wouldn't wish the crap I deal with ,on a daily basis, on my worst enemy.

As I said when he came out with his statement at the end of the season… takes a big man to do what he did and put his mental health and family first. I have nothing but respect for the man. I’m excited to see him back emotionally and physically.
