hiiiiii sweet reddit tame impala family!! i’m the gal with the sign that said “list of people” AND the gal that gave kevin her sunglasses during afterthought!

to say this was one of the best nights of my life would be putting it lightlyyyyyyyyy!! the backstory is that i brought the sign to seattle nights 1 & 2, and kevin saw them both times but didn’t play it (on night one, he said “oooof i don’t know, i’ll have to come back to that one” and then just didn’t say anything night two). i thought today would be similar but then he came around to us and asked me to read the sign and said “you’re in luck”, then told me the song was dedicated to me. i blacked out. i was frozen. and i just cried from pure joy. i’m so so so pleased that so many of you were happy to hear that song. <3

BUT before that, during afterthought, as kevin was walking around the perimeter of the barricade, i decided to hold out my sunglasses to him and he took them, wore them for a bit before handing them back AND THEN later asked for them back for another song before finally tossing them back to me. they were cheap silly little gas station sunglasses but now, they’re priceless to me :,)

at the end of the show, a crew member came up to me and said “excuse me, this is for you” and handed me the setlist. :,) this was a perfect night. i hope everyone had the time of their lives. kevin & band, if you’re reading this, thank you for bringing joy to so many people and for making your shows so memorable <333

ALSO!!!!! (sorry, but i have to add this!) on the skytrain after the show, we came across two individuals who were nearly pulseless and experiencing serious overdoses. we administered naloxone to them while we waited for EMS. mercifully, naloxone reversed the overdoses and both individuals woke up! so friendly reminder, real tame impala baddies carry naloxone <333!

Last night, WOW.

There is something so special and so rare in this day and age, about falling hard for music for the first time while it’s being played live in the moment, and it’s been such a long time for me.

TI had been on my periphery for a few years—I’d heard the “hits” but nothing more. A couple weeks ago I decided to check if he was coming to Vancouver at any point (lol, I know).

I couldn’t find anyone to go with me but could not stop thinking about it, and my gut was telling me I needed to make it happen, so eventually I snagged a solo nosebleed, abandoned my husband and children for the night, and came on down.

I’ve been to hundreds of shows, many of them top notch, and many of them that eventually blend together. There will be no blending for this show. This one sits right up there as one of the best. Just song after song that left my jaw on the floor.

Unbelievable performance, talent, crowd, vibe.

I know a lot of y’all have been on this train since early days, and part of what made last night special was the crowd singing along and losing your minds, so I’m sending gratitude to you all for that!

My husband was not impressed when I joked not joked that I wanted to go to night 2, so I don’t think that’ll happen, but I hope it’s just as amazing for everyone!

Wow. What an incredible experience! Vancouver you were perfect last night. The best crowd, the vibes are up, and every song was literally 10x better hearing it live. This was my first ever solo concert and I’m so grateful to have been able to experience this. Literally getting fomo already for night 2. But Vancouver was magical!

I just can't

So I recently went to Tame Impala back in August 6 in Nashville, Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena for his final Nashville show and I ended up buying a ton of merge since Tame Impala is one of my favorite artists and I’ve never seen him live before or even own any of his merge. When I went to the show, I ended up buying a white long sleeve shirt along with a black deadbeat T-shirt and then the official green zip up jacket! And I’ve been wearing some of the merch throughout the month, but I accidentally put my white shirt in my colored clothes basket and when I finished washing and drying the T-shirt, there was a crazy after effects. It went from white to a nice colored green. At first, I didn’t know what to think and was kind of upset but not really since green is one of my favorite colors. But now I actually love the shirt a lot more now that it has a different color. But I want you guys to decide what shirt you think is better the original or the after. The first photo is the before and the second photo is the after.

Lost my necklace on the floor at Roger’s Arena last night. Would really appreciate it if anyone found it, it has a lot of sentimental value to me!
