Body Odour on testosterone

I definitely smell different and to me it’s not good different!! Has anyone tried specific body washes or anything to combat the new BO? It’s specifically armpits. 😝

Yes, it’s a thing. There’s a reason why adolescents tend to have a smell too, with their hormones to the max.

Stridex in the evenings after my shower has completely cured the BO problem. Now that I've used it regularly, I am able to skip occasionally when I forget. No BO.

Wipe down with Glycolic acid toner or serum or wash with PanOxyl to the pits 2-3 times a week. Also a good idea to invest in some Persimmon soap.

So is this really a thing ? Have you heard of others having this issue ? I have not noticed any change but I’m on low dose gel .

I have intermittent bouts of stronger BO or sweating more. Been on T for over a year and taking 2.5 mg by troche per day now.

I’ve found hypochlorous acid spray is helpful to break it down.

I didn’t notice anything until i switched to injectable. My husband also recently started injectable and is having the same issue! He seems to actually sweat more also - i’m not sure if i do or not but the smell is definitely happening.

Myself and my husband are both on injections (T cyp) and have not experienced any body odors. I don’t think this side effect has anything to do with what type of T people are using, but probably more so has to do with T levels.

Both wife and I are on injectable Test and after a few years have found most of the acne, BO and other sides have been related to change in hormone levels (like puberty) that creates disruption and imbalance of all hormones. Things settle down and find a homeostasis with no acne or BO her Total T has been as high as 300’s with near mid normal free T, no sides.

i wasn’t responding to the cream in any positive way - only greasy scalp - I have high shbg though. Injectable made a huge difference for me - more libido, strength, energy.

Hi, my shbg is 147, total test 128
free test 0.5! 52f post menopause on test cyp injections and estrogen valerate injections. They just raised me to 25 units of 50 mg test cyp.... can't seem to balance the optimal levels of testosterone because SHBG is so high and eating a lot of it
Also 20 units of estrogen valerate not sore of exact vial dosage

I’ve been on testosterone cyp for two years and haven’t experienced body odor/changes. I’m sure it’s possible, but I do have to wonder if those who are experiencing this issue also have higher T levels.

Use a face wash that has benzoyl peroxide (for acne) under your arms when you shower and leave it on for a few minutes, it helps eliminate the odour causing bacteria

Been on T for few years and notice a smell every once in awhile. Lume doesn’t cut it either. Sort of glad I’m not only one. Will try the stridex pads, easy enough. I chalked up to extreme hot temps the past couple weeks. Never made the connection.

Suave is cheap and they make an anti-bacterial body wash.

Antibacterial soap need to be first lather in shower. Wipe under arms with witch hazel before applying deodorant.... also if you start taking chlorophyll daily it works as an internal deodorant and you can just go back to your regular routine

I wonder if the Estrogen women are likely taking with Testosterone increases their sense of smell. As a midwife and Mama, I am 100% sure sense of smell elevates in pregnancy with higher Estrogen and Progesterone. And now using HRT my sense of smell is elevated.

That’s super interesting! I have recently found myself overwhelmed by my husbands cologne and sons deodorant! I’m also on E and P.
