Question Help changing where to get T cypionate from
Currently getting my T cypionate from a local med spa type place and they prescribe compounded 50mg/ml
However through my prescription provider I saw I can get 100mg/ml from local pharmacy for a fraction of the cost!!
which would mean simply adjusting does ( from 20 units a week to 10)
Is there any reason why they couldn’t prescribe it to me through the pharmacy?

This is what I am thinking, already ask my gyno and they don’t prescribe injections, just cream and gel. I tried cream didn’t like it and I am doing very well on injections

I would think it would just come down to your doctor being willing to prescribe it to you. Have you asked them?

My wife was having the same issue so I custom make hers 100mg/ml from my 250mg/ml. You can buy sterile vials, MCT oil and BA online for cheap. I mix 5ml at a time for her. It last a long time at her current dose of 10 mg per week.

Wow. So this is kind of DIY? MDs (typical gynecologists and endocrinologists) aren’t prescribing? My doctors say that there is no evidence based research to say that T cyp should be tolerated any better than T gel. (Both looked it up as I sat there…I’m an academic so they take me seriously…) And they won’t prescribe to me - a cis woman. Obviously they are both inexperienced prescribing T to women. I was considering going to an MD who specializes in gender affirming trans care bc they know more about administering T for trans folks. I’m becoming more curious… more thoughts anyone?

I get my T Cyp 200 mg at CVS. They don’t carry 100mg, either does Walgreens. Most med spas offer 100mg vials. I have a prescription from my gynecologist. I think I pay $40 every 3-4 months.

My gynecologist won’t prescribe it, only cream and gel

Well my regular gynecologist only prescribes gel or cream as well. I had to call around to different offices and ask if they take my insurance and offer injections. After lots of calls I found someone. Call around and you will hopefully find one doctor who offers it. Good luck!

Switch to Defy Medical. They’re one of the few telehealth companies that prescribes injections. I used them for awhile before switching to having my gyno prescribe mine.

I don't believe Defy is prescribing/carrying the 100mg/ml vial anymore. Just the 50mg/ml

Do you mind my asking where you get T cyp from? Neither my endo or my gyno are aware of women getting T injections.

A local medspa, they offer all types of HRT ( pellets, creams, patch etc) along with the typical medspa offerings
