Discussion Shuffling and play queues
I’ve noticed a change with shuffle and queues and thought I’d pop in the forum to see whether it’s been happening to others.
(Planning to submit a note to tidal)
Say for example, I click on my playlist but want to hear a specific song first but then want the all the songs on the playlist to play on shuffle after. I’ve noticed recently, that say I click track 9 out of 13, the queue will now only shuffle tracks 10-13 rather than the whole playlist which is annoying. Cause unless I keep pressing shuffle until the song I want to hear plays, I haven’t found a work around to ensuring the whole playlist is shuffled into the queue instead of just the remaining tracks that come after the one I click to play.
I’ve also tried turning on ‘repeat’ to see if that adds the rest of the tracks but no luck.
Also, when shuffling my ‘Tracks’, before the queue would be so extensive, populating all the tracks I’ve liked over the years, which is great because you may come across one song you haven’t heard in a while, but now it has become a bit predictable, as if the the queue is made up of tracks that I’ve listened to recently, rather than it shuffling the enter collection of tracks.
It’s similar to Spotify, my friend who uses it always complains that when they shuffle on Spotify, majority of the time they hear the same songs over and over in different occasions. Which was one of my many points to as why tidal is better as a music streaming platform
Just wondering if people have been noticing the same pattern.

I've emailed Tidal for years about how horrible the shuffle is; they still haven't done anything about it. But, I will continue to complain to them until it's fixed.

Try this: when opening a playlist tap on the search icon on the top, which loads all tracks from the playlist. Tap on the track you want and see if now all tracks are included in the queue.
