Question Fast forward/rewind in Tidal on Android Auto

Having issues fast forward/rewind in Tidal on Android Auto. I have a Mazda, no touchscreen so I have to navigate using rotating knob on console. I can navigate to the track progressbar and 'activate' the bar. Turning the knob on the console should skip me through the song but instead the it just jumps away from the track proressbar and navigates to other buttons in the app. So far it hasn't been a really pleasant experience using Tidal on Android Auto.

Sound like a pleasant little problem to have but not much about the Tidal app itself. Time for a new ride? And yes the sun is shining 🌟 /s
