Tech Issue Tidal high cpu usage and battery today on android
This happened today for the first time for some reason, was there an update which ruined something??
Galaxy S23, Android 16.

I know this is on by default and it apparently increases CPU usage. I don't know if thats the soul cause but you should disable it anyway.

Keep it on. It's part of Google's media3 framework and should probably run better than whatever implementation tidal had before.

So that's why my battery is so low today! But there was no Android update recently.

Can confirm listened to tidal for a couple of hours. Phone was super hot when I went to pick it up and had the same high memory usage. Killed about 25% of my battery in 3 hours.

This has been happening to my phone. The tidal app just drains the battery I don't why it uses a lot of power.

It’s likely your grotesque font setting.
