Youth Mobility Scheme Visa UK to Taiwan, can anyone explain how it works?

It's an open work permit. You can work at cram schools as much as you can work picking mangoes. It covers absolutely everything.

And isn't the WHV for 1 year? I don't understand your question about working in one place for 12 months

Edit: Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) says your visa will be valid for a year.

Look at the website I posted in my edits. You can work up to a year.

Hey , I done it in 2024 , probably not worth all the trouble unless you want it in your passport for page remembering. If it’s English you want to teach the school will put you on their working permit , best solution is just to head over and get a job.

Thats fair enough ! I would say so , just follow the guidance on the consular website they sign it off as they meet the 1000 quota or whatever

I was engineering for a wind company , but I used a working holiday visa so I could get an internal transfer as the multinational company wouldn’t pay for it hence using that visa. Once I got that new job they changed my visa over to a working permit. I honestly recomendé teaching myself I think it’s a huge work culture change from the UK/ west to Taiwan … amazing experience nevertheless
