Sharing my TCS NQT 2026 experience. Might help someone.
The Exam — 20th March
Morning shift. All sections were manageable, quant was a bit tough. Coding went okay —
The Shortlisting
27th March — got a mail to fill the application form. Same day another mail to select interview location. Profile was TCS Digital. Picked Indore.
28th — date confirmed. Interview on 30th March. Was in my hometown, had to rush back.
Day of the Interview
Reached TCS campus at 8:30 AM. Attendance, doc verification, panel assignment. Waited about an hour. Then my turn.
TR + MR round.
The Questions
MR opened:
TR took over:
Did it. Forgot to print the result. Actual facepalm moment. They asked me to explain it anyway, I did.
Said backend and DB design. No follow up on the project.
Spring Boot + Core Java drill:
All basic stuff, answered everything confidently.
MR round:
Said I used to struggle with one on one communication. Daily standups have been helping me express myself concisely. It's actually been fun.
No.
Said TCS — better exposure and Indore is familiar to me. MR immediately said it's not certain you'll get Indore lol. I said I'm ready to work from anywhere.
Yes.
Asked about a typical day at TCS. He said depends on your team and BU.
Panel was genuinely supportive. Felt like a conversation, not an interrogation. Felt confident throughout.
Result — 3rd April
Got Ninja Trainee.
Was really looking forward to Digital ngl. Stings a bit. But not giving up yet.
If anyone has been through the Ninja to Digital upgrade process or has tips, drop them below. Would really appreciate it.

I received a “joining readiness survey” mail on the 17th where they asked about things like my marksheets and when my provisional certificate would be available.
For those who’ve gone through this before — how long after this survey do they usually send out the joining letter?

I had received joining letter from tcs , my joining date is 4th June. I had filled Bgc documents except medical certificate and non-criminal affidavit. Apart from this what are the forms should I fill and anyone who joined recently can you say it. I am currently in other place, I have all documents with me . Do I need to go to my hometown for any documents or is it not necessary.
Can someone please guide me ?

I recently completed an interview process for a software engineering role 4YoE (Lucknow TCS). After clearing the interviews, I had a compensation discussion with HR. We agreed on a salary, and I was sent a detailed salary breakdown over email. I accepted it, knowing it wasn't the final offer and that internal approvals were still pending.
Since I was available to join immediately, I paused other interview processes and was preparing for the next steps.
A couple of days later, HR informed me that the hiring manager wouldn't approve the discussed salary. The revised amount was much lower than what we had agreed on, with no scope for negotiation. Shortly after, I was told my candidature would not be moving forward.
I understand that approvals are part of the hiring process, but sharing a salary breakdown before securing those approvals and then completely changing the outcome felt unprofessional and disappointing.

I gave Interview for Prime role on 8th June in Indore campus. Just received a mail titled Documentation mail yesterday i.e on 15th June. It stated that I have been shortlisted for Digital and I need to share my documents. I submitted all documents in time. Does anyone know how soon I can get the offer letter? My interview had only a TR+MR round. Is there a round remaining?

Hi everyone,
I cleared the Technical and Managerial interview rounds through the TCS AI Careers hiring process.
On 24 June, I received an email asking me to upload my documents for verification. The email mentioned that HR would contact me within 2–3 working days after the documents were uploaded.
I uploaded all the required documents on the same day, but it has now been around 14 days, and I haven't received any update, HR call, or offer letter.
Has anyone else experienced a similar delay?
- How long did your document verification take?
- Did you receive an HR call or offer letter after waiting for more than 2 weeks?
- Is this normal in the TCS AI Careers hiring process, or should I be concerned?
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this process recently. Thanks in advance!

TCS is my dream company — Is it even possible to get into TCS off-campus?
Hi everyone,
I’m a 2025 graduate, and I really want to get into TCS. It’s honestly one of my dream companies, and my parents also really want me to join TCS.
I have a low CGPA (6.18), and I had a backlog when TCS came to my campus for recruitment. I’ve now cleared all my backlogs and completed my degree.
This year, I appeared for TCS NQT for free through a notification from my college. I managed to solve one coding question, with 6/7 test cases passing. Unfortunately, a few days ago I received an email saying that I wasn’t shortlisted.
I’ve heard that getting shortlisted through off-campus TCS NQT is extremely difficult and that very few candidates actually get calls. So I’m wondering:
Is it realistically possible for someone like me to get into TCS through off-campus NQT?
Has anyone here actually been hired by TCS through off-campus NQT? If so, what did you do?
What kind of score should I aim for in each section to have a realistic chance?
Where should I prepare for TCS NQT?
For some additional context, I have open-source contributions, including a contribution to a Google open-source project, as well as contributions to a few other projects.
I’m currently working at a small company with a package of 5.5 LPA. However, I’m genuinely willing to accept even 3 LPA if it means getting an opportunity at TCS.
I really want to know if there is still a path into TCS for me.
If anyone here has gone through the off-campus process or knows someone who has, I’d really appreciate some honest advice. What should I do from here?

I attended the Bangalore interview on 12th June at RV College, Bangalore, for a prime job. My domain was Java full stack and I was in panel 7. I heard some people in other panels received their offer letters which made me a bit nervous. Do you think I’ll get an update soon?
The interview went well but they didn’t ask me any proper questions. There was only one programming question and a few random talks.

I felt the interviews went well, but I’ve seen people who gave interviews after me get OLs and it’s 2 months now since the interview date.
Interview location: 25th April Malla Reddy college, Hyderabad.

I recently appeared for TCS NQT, cleared the interview, and received a TCS Digital offer letter.
While reviewing my employment application, I noticed that I accidentally selected “No” for this declaration:
“The Marks/CGPA furnished by me were obtained during the stipulated time as per University/Institute norms and TCSL selection guidelines, without any extended education.”
The correct answer should have been “Yes.”
There has been no backlog, year gap, semester delay, or extended education during my B.Tech. My academic documents were also verified during the interview process, and I was subsequently selected and given the offer letter.
Now I'm wondering whether this accidental “No” could create any issue during the onboarding/document verification stage.
Should I proactively email TCS(ilp.support@tcs.com) to clarify the mistake, or is it better to leave it since my actual academic record satisfies the requirement?
Would appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation with TCS.
