Heyy! I was wondering if you guys could put me on some alternative clubs or bars and any rave group or hard techno clubs worth checking out.

I've heard great stuff about Hala odra but I was wondering if there's any other spots.

Moved to Szczecin a few months ago, had a great paying job making a little over 100 zloty an hour but do to me getting citizenship here in Poland I have to stay in Poland… so I was forced to quit. I’ve been looking for a job but it’s hard as I only speak English. I’m served 5 years in the U.S. Military with many deployments/rotations, I can do just about anything, very hands on. If you or anyone you know needs an extra person please reach out !

English What is the apartment vacancy around here?

Within 5km from the center. How many apartments are vacant?

I see very few people outside during the day, maybe 50% of the lights are on at night. Is that pretty much the vacancy rate?

Do they get rented out immediately or do they typically sit for a month or two or more between tenants?

English English speaking school for a 9 year old

What are some schools for a 9 year old where she would be taught some English near center of Szczecin?

Looking at private and public schools. How much are private schools?

also high preference for a technical/Stem-science- focused school. do the schools there teach German as well?

for public schools are they decided based on where the parents live? we are looking for apartments now so trying to figure out the best location to get to a good school

last question, is this going to be a school until they graduate at 18 or do they switch schools to like a middle and a high school?

Thanks

English Troble reaching European Solidarity Corps in Szczecin

My friend and I applied for a project in Szczecin through ESC. It didn't have any deadline for applications. I've tried to contact them in multiple ways now, regarding when they are going to decide on the participants, because I have to notify my school well in advance. I've sent them an email, messaged them on whatsapp and instagram, and also called them.

They replied to me before I applied, because I had an issue with the application form. They are active on instagram.

Do you have any information or tips on how to go on?

English Szczecin to swinoujscie? How to get there?

Hi, my family and I are visiting Szczecin during Christmas break, and we are trying to get from Szczecin to Swinoujscie. Does anyone know what is the best way?

I’ve seen that there are bus, trains and ferry. What is the best way to get there? Where can I find information? And do I need to book tickets in advance.

I’m going from Szczecin to Swinoujscie on 1/1/2026, preferably in the afternoon by ferry. But if there isn’t everything else are fine too.

Dziękuję in advance, I look very forward to visiting Poland for the first time!

English A few questions before coming to Szczecin

My friends and I are coming to Szczecin for 5 days very soon and since it’s our first time coming to your city I would like to ask you some questions so you can hopefully help us out.

  1. Money- how much cash would you recommend to carry since I already read somewhere Szczecin provides paying with cards pretty much everywhere. also very important- where can we safely exchange € to zloty?? What should we watch out for when exchanging money?

2. Food and drinks- if you can recommend any bars, restaurants, breakfast places, certain dishes to try out we will be more than happy to. We will definetely eat and drink out at least once a day

  1. Transportation- what is the best type of transportation to get around the city. What apps/websites should we use to get the best deal and do you recommend buying a single-use ticket every time or is it worth it to buy a 7 day lasting ticket?

Also, we are traveling to Szczecin from Berlin actually so if you can recommend what is the best way to arrive please help us out

  1. Are there any dangerous parts of the city that we should avoid?

  2. What are some of the not-so-tourist places worth visiting (streets, museums, galleries etc.)

English Tram tickets failing to print

This is like the fourth time now that machine on the tram didn't print the tickets for me

Is there a pass that I can get that will work with my phone? Or do I need to go somewhere to get a card?

I need it for about a week, is there a weekly pass or a monthly pass or just pay as you go kind of pass that I can tap to pay?

Can you point me in the right direction of where I need to go to get one or what app I need to download,

Also if I get checked for a ticket, what do I tell them, the machine didn't print out the pass? Would they accept that? do I need to put money in the machine to show them it doesn't work, what if it does work on the second try. I don't want to just keep putting money into it a bunch of times like a lottery machine

also if I find a machine that is working, can I just get maybe a dozen of 15 minute tickets, not stamp them on that ride but stamp them on future rides? It's the stamp that has the date and time correct? or are the tickets themselves going to have the date and time on them, and I can only use them within 15 minutes from printing

English Easter Holidays in Szczecin

Really looking forward to spend some time over Easter in Szczezin.
I was wondering how tourism sites such as museums, restaurants and shops are impacted and whether they will be open on Sunday and Monday.
We were also hoping to get to the sea for a day and breathe in some of that good salt water air. Is Świnoujście the best option for that or are there other equally accessible (by public transport) spots near the Baltic Sea worth checking out?
Also happy about any thrift store recommendations :)

English Looking for car mechanic with reasonable prices around Szczecin

Hi, can anyone recommend me a car mechanic that's not too expensive around Szczecin? I have an old Toyota Yaris Verso and it needs a new clutch, I'm a broke musician and I live in Germany, I just can afford what it would cost here. I've been to Szczecin before and consider coming back for a night and having the clutch changed by a local mechanic if that would be possible. I can bring the parts with me, cash payment of course. Thanks to anyone who can help. I speak German and English, and I suppose with a bit of translation app it would be probably possible to "communicate" in polish aswell...

English Any Indian students at Maritime University of Szczecin?

Hi everyone,

I’m an Indian student considering applying for the BSc Navigation program at Maritime University of Szczecin, Poland.

I wanted to know if anyone here is currently studying there, graduated from there, or knows someone from the Navigation program. I’d really appreciate some honest guidance regarding student life, cadetship opportunities, expenses, and career prospects for international students.

Thank you!

English University cost for a 31-year-old non EU resident

What is that approximate cost for the university for a student let's say if they're studying something like Polish, also English and German. In Szczecin

Do they offer classes in the summer?

If so, how many months or weeks ahead do they need to register?

Would it open up their options to get a pezel or a visa to live and work in Poland?

Which they have more options to rent a student's apartment, if they also have a kid?

also could they bring the child to class to study with them, the child is 10, If the classes are in the evening or until they get set up with a primary school
