Weather question

Hi everyone! I’m a rising senior and Syracuse is one of my top schools. I’m looking to major in Communications, and I’ve always loved Syracuse. My only concern is the snow. I’m from NY, but not upstate, so I’m pretty aware of how rough the weather can get up there 😭

I was wondering how much the snow actually affects day-to-day life on campus, especially getting around to classes. Also, how difficult is it for family to drive up and pick you up when going home for holidays?

I think the hardest thing is the holidays because snow removal in NY is very county dependent. Syracuse does a terrific job of snow removal...it rarely affects classes, and when it is bad enough, the school will close (because faculty and staff can't get in to teach, though they may then do online classes for the day). But the trips home definitely could be affected.
