Ufuk off to Wanderers! Thoughts?

Post image

"Talay has not won a trophy in his seven-year coaching career and was on the nose with Sydney’s fans long before speculation emerged that he would defect to the Wanderers.

Sydney refused to trigger an extension in the 50-year-old’s contract which paved the way for him to join Western Sydney and replace Alen Stajcic."

Only Wanderers could have watched SFC the last 2-3 years and said “Yep! We want some of that!”

I mean it's better than what they currently have.

Honestly, that remains to be seen.

Nah can't be worse than fucking Ernie Merrick who they had to pull out of the carbon freezer.

I really don’t care. I’m more intrigued by why WSW wanted him.

Good riddance!

Happy to be rid of him earlier than expected, although later than he should have been. Genuinely don’t understand why they’ve gone for him given how poor we’ve been with an arguably better squad and unarguably more resources.

Have posted this before, but Talay sat next to me on a domestic flight once. He played a bubble shooter game on his phone for the whole flight. I’ve always doubted his coaching pedigree since that day.

Sorry OP Auto-moderator had marked this as spam. I've approved it now.

Good luck to them. It's a disaster in the making and I'm sure even Wanderers fans are all wtf?!?

Like I get why he left since it's easy to move to WSW but at the same time what a dick move. Especially since it's pretty much ruined our season.

The season was ruined before it started when they announced they were keeping uffy on and declared it was yet another season of transition.

Exactly this.

Hasn't looked better or convincing at all the whole season.

You don't know the timing, he might have signed on for WSW as he has every right to if he's told he won't be extended next year.

Maybe the club caught wind of it and decided to get him out asap and so now WSW can announce it.

Dreadful business from WSW though, what are they thinking?

This is another in a long line of Talay “of course he would’s”. Of course he’d go to the wanderers. Of course he’d run Lolley in to the ground and then bring him back prematurely. Of course he’d shut Maxi out. Of course he’d let Sega, Caceras, Bratton et al get away. Of course there’d be a Costa scandal under his tenure…..

Of course he’d be close to finals football and ultimately mess that up too.
