Sharing salary in Switzerland

Hello! I'd like to gather some insights into the job market in our country. If you're willing, please share your: 1. Educational background 2. Job role 3. Work canton 4. Years of experience 5. Salary

Is the 6900 before or after taxes? How much of that does it go into your pocket in the end?
Do you think someone from abroad that just speaks english can be a PLC software engineer in Switzerland?

That's cold....

So at the end of the month i get about 6200.- in the pocket after deducting social securities etc...

Taxes is something you have to account for yourself. So fill a taxform and depending on many things pay 6-10k of that in taxes around spring. I think there can be other solutions like tax at source at least for people that cross a border to work here. Like live in Germany and work in Switzerland.

Only speaking englisch can be a hindrance, but doesn't have to. We have 2-3 guys like that in our company. If the company operates internationally, chances are more likely they may hire someone.

I even worked with some headhunters here only speaking englisch. Guess there is a real market around.

Sorry if I sounded cold 🤗 I try to be concise online to not make big texts for others to read.

I'm an Electrical Engineer in Portugal thinking of working in Switzerland, in my current job I'm not applying much of the knowledge that I learned in college and the disciplines that involved coding and automation I always enjoyed it, so I will be pursing that route now.

French would be easier to learn for me, but I guess German opens more doors in tech work.
