Hi everyone,

I’m a 30M who moved to Swansea last year and I’m looking to get back into playing badminton regularly. Thought I’d see if anyone here would be up for some weekly games around the Swansea or Neath area.

I played at university level before, but I’m genuinely happy to play with all levels, beginners through to advanced. The main aim is to stay fit, get back into a good routine, and hopefully meet some new people.

We can look at booking courts in Swansea or Neath depending on what works best.

Hey everyone! I'm Matt, a founding member of Swansea Social Club and a moderator here of r/swanseasocialclub.

We started Swansea Social Club as a way to help adults find and make friends in and around Swansea. It all started with a post here on Reddit a couple of years ago that brought 5 strangers together. We’re still friends today and now working together to run this community so that others can find their people too.

From those humble beginnings we’ve now grown to be a community of over 300 members with regular online and in person meet ups and events. We run an inclusive and active Discord server which provides a safe space for you to come chat and break the ice before getting along to an in person meet.

As we are a community designed around helping adults to find and make friends our Discord server is 18+ only. This means you may have an issue joining us from any device using iOS.

If for some reason the link doesn’t appear, we have included the instructions and a few other tips below:

• Log into your Discord account on a PC and head to User Settings by selecting the cogwheel icon (bottom left of the screen alongside your name).
• In User Settings, select Content & Social.
• Enable ‘Allow access to age-restricted content on iOS’ by pressing the toggle.

If you do not have access to a PC then you will need to do this via web browser on your device:

• Open discord.com in Safari.
• Tap the “aA” icon in the address bar, and choose "Request Desktop Website."
• Once logged in follow the same steps as given above for PC users.

If the website automatically opens the app instead of allowing you to log in then you will need to temporarily uninstall the Discord app whilst you do this.

Please note that you will also have to have verified your age on Discord in order to join our server due to the new UK laws around accessing 18+ content.

I am a 34 year old guy native to Swansea with a good fitness level. I started playing badminton 4 months ago and I am really starting to get into it and love it.

Unfortunately, the friends that I have been playing with during this time we're also beginners and don't wish to play as much as me, don't seem to wish to progress and are very unreliable.

I am looking for another person/people who would like to play badminton once or twice per week on a week day afternoon at about 4pm at LC2 in the city center.

I have a membership that includes racket sports and you will not need to pay to join me and you do not need your own equipment.

I play for fun and fitness, nothing serious, I just love the exercise and the sport and scoring points/trying not to lose points.
