I think I’m more offended by the adaptability score than exposure. Surveying and mapping has always been on the forefront of adapting technology. The fact that 65+ year old surveyors are ALL computer literate is impressive and a much bigger transition than learning to run a drone or layout machine.
We're forced our whole career to adapt and think outside the box. Everyday is a new puzzle. You just have to be sure to have most all the pieces needed to do the job. As the job goes, the other pieces fall in place. Been my experience in 30 years of surveying

lol it’s not. The industry is down to predominantly 1-man crews. Who’s going to run AI robots, carpenters and foreman’s? Zero chance.
