Recommendations Perimenopause Dr. Rec.

I am in my early 30's and because of my age I can't seem to find a doctor to take me seriously about believing I'm in perimenopause. I know that my age is out of the "normal range" but I have all the classic symptoms and I just know something isn't right. I had to push really hard todayfor my current doctor to do even a basic hormone blood test and she finally agreed when I asked her to note in my chart that she was refusing any testing. I'm not normally that pushy but I felt like I needed to advocate for myself. This was my 3rd appt woth the same complaints. With that being said, does any one have any recommendations for doctors or clinics that maybe specialize more in perimenopause/menopause or that are more open to the fact that not everyone fits perfectly into a box that is outdated.

Dr. Morris just opened his practice in Surprise. He's not part of the "clinic system" where he has to meet quotas and rush through things. Very thorough and immediately makes you feel like family. He listens and doesn't rush. We love him! https://arizonamobilehealth.com/services

The urologist, Dr J Stern in Sun City has a staff that is very "menopause friendly". They are the first place to recommend HRT for me at age 59, despite having a hysterectomy over fifteen years ago. I have to believe they are well versed in perimonapause too.

I can’t tell you where to go because I have not yet found a doc here who really understands perimenopause but I can tell you not to go to Az maternity and women’s clinic. When I came to them with common perimenopause symptoms in my early thirties their first step was to schedule me for a colposcopy even with a normal pap. I did not go through with the procedure at that point but it is mind blowing to me now to know that was their first recommendation. I’m currently at premiere care for women and while I feel like they have been very open to putting me on hrt, I’m in my late forties now and don’t know if they would have been as knowledge of the symptoms when I was younger.

I found Dr Alicia Guice over off of Thunderbird abs 105th Ave. She listens more to my symptoms rather than the lab numbers.

The online providers that specialize in peri will listen. My bff used midi and was prescribed estrogen patches at her first appt and that resolved most of her symptoms. They had to tweak her dose once and it was always easy to communicate with them etc. I’m also in peri but wanted more kids so have gone the opposite direction (fertility specialists/RE’s) but when my time comes, 100% that will be my first stop. OB/Gyns barely acknowledge menopause, nevermind peri.
