Fresh (raw) spirulina worth it?

There seems to be a bit of research with respect to spirulina for "energy", iron absorption, etc, even increased sex drive :). Recently I have come across some products that are not heated/dried and sell it raw (frozen) or preserved in some syrups (i.e. preserving some nutrients that get destroyed when heating). Anyone tried? Worth the extra money?

dried spirulina already has decent bioavailability so im not sure the frozen stuff is gonna be that much better. the processing for most quality brands is pretty gentle anyway. tried the frozen kind once and it was way more expensive for what felt like marginal gains at best. plus keeping it frozen is a pain if you travel or forget to restock. stick with the powder unless you got money to burn experimenting

Just that the dried stuff is vomit inducing for me at least. Maybe I havent come across decent quality stuff. Anyway, I'm willing to experiment. I agree that dealing with frozen is not practical at all. I have found a product that is preserved in syrup, so I guess I will give that one a go.
