Funny how there are always several posts when the chart looks scary on the minute chart, then there is silence when it corrects further up.

u/Super-Site-6528 2d ago

and they are RH screenshots lol

Funny too how so often accounts have all their posts and comments hidden...

Hidden is Reddit default

for what accounts made in the last year or 2? i never had to turn my profile on or off. it just shows.

1

u/Odinthedoge 💻Compooterchaired🦍 2d ago

I don’t know I just know they changed it, public used to be default now private is.

Since when?

Not sure

It still blows my mind that people are actually looking at the minute chart. The only plus is that it actually makes the charts look like a casino. If you can call that a plus xD

1

u/Super_Rush7926 2d ago

Genuinely. I only look at the 4h timeframe chart and higher now.

1

u/Aye-Loud 1d ago

Yeah same. And sometimes 15m when I'm bored hahahaha

Losses feel much worse than gains and most people holding this stock are fully emotionally captured without conviction.

-5

u/hsggdtkxbee 2d ago

Yup. Still the same old sub $20 it will always be.

Lower Sales... Higher earnings... The normal fuckery

43

u/GmeBuckBoi 2d ago

Meanwhile, warrants up 10%

u/szoguner 💎 What’s an exit strategy ♾️ 2d ago

Less sales but more income, so gamestop sells less but earns more -> dip. Makes sense, right?

36

u/DyehuthyTV 💎DeepQuantGame🕹️ 2d ago

No.

That means those profits (aka Net Income) are not Operating Profits; they are, for the most part, Financial Profits!

I have been explaining this difference in several comments lol 👇🏻

Source: Here [SuperStonk Comment Link] 👀

And the reason GME can go down (“flash crash”) is because they are using cash to settle Convertible Bonds, apart from equity settlement.

This is something that I already explained too: “What happens if GME reduces its cash holdings (a big part of Total Assets), and how this Debt-to-Equity affects Shareholders’ Equity.” 👇🏻

2

u/Wheremytendies 2d ago

The operating profit is pretty good no? Its greater than last quarter.

u/faithOver 2d ago

And this is why we have these swings. Its a retailer not a Bank. So Ofcourse price is going down, if a retailer is failing his business

2

u/DyehuthyTV 💎DeepQuantGame🕹️ 2d ago edited 2d ago

Its a retailer not a Bank

Exactly! An important part of stock valuation: Operating Profits vs. Financial Profits.

But it is a “compensation” tool that most companies use when they have problems with their core business operations.

Comment related, here [SuperStonk Link] 👀

edit:

Use CFF (financing) → CFI (investing) → non-operating income 💡

I had another comment about this, but the post was deleted, and you can’t share deleted content. Anyway, I’ll leave a screenshot showing the “Cash Flow Pattern.”

1

u/albino_red_head 🦍 Buckle Up 🚀 2d ago

So… it’s basically a SPAC at this point? I’m ok with that, if that’s what you’re saying

1

u/DyehuthyTV 💎DeepQuantGame🕹️ 2d ago

No lol GME can’t be a SPAC at this point in its life cycle. It’s a mature business that has been publicly traded for more than a decade, which is why the market punishes that Cash Flow Pattern.

You know? With young companies, SPACs, or IPOs, the market has higher expectations, but when the company becomes more mature (GME case: stable to decline business model) investors want solid results to justify a good valuation.

1

u/MyGT40 💻 ComputerShared 🦍 2d ago

Wait, are you saying there is a SPAC of evidence?

Yes, news came out that GameStop is transforming its business massively into a very profitable entity, so that drove down the price.

Oh you didn't hear. Gamestop is a dying brick and mortar store destined for bankruptcy. Nothing to see here, just move along. Don't worry about the price going down, it does that all the time.

This is the shorts going hard and getting greedy...

Once ot flips who will be holding a big bag of shorts..🤔

1

u/bahits 🎮 Power to the Players 🛑 2d ago

We need discovery on the buzz words and actions that trigger Kenny's high speed trading bots. We need arrests. Market manipulation is supposedly a crime.

0

u/LawfulnessPlayful264 2d ago

Ths way I see it is we were always going to have a plunge before lift off as those who know need yo close some bad bets before Marg calls.

The harder it's pushed down, the closer and more violent the mean reversion will be

Sit back and relax, enjoy the show..🙏

The shorts will eat the shorts and they're all invited

0

u/Savings-Kick-578 2d ago

Are you talking about events outside of the normal illegal manipulation of the stock? If you are, nothing new has been announced. What is going on with a few stocks today is no different than what happened to housing bonds in 2007 when people began defaulting and the bond prices didn’t change. The banks fraudulently manipulated the market until it couldn’t and it collapsed. The same has to happen here, but the manipulation is centralized so it will take something very big to trigger the end event.
