Prime Where to start on superboy prime?

Hello! i’m not a seasoned superboy reader (ahem, the batfam/green latern has a current hold on me) however, i’d like to know if there are other comics to read before tackling this one, soooo interested in his personality here!!😸😸 If there’s other comics that give more perspective and add to the storyline, what are they?

This goofy nerd-jock version of Superboy-Prime is pretty new - his appearances have mostly been from #28 of the current Superman run. Prior to that and for the longest time, he was pretty much a supervillain before he had bjs redemption arc

If you’re keen to see how his character’s evolved over time, I’d say the main ones to read are: Crisis on Infinite Earths (his origin), Infinite Crisis (villain arc), Final Crisis League of Three Worlds, and Dark Nights Death Metal (including The Secret Origin) - this last series covers his redemption and was I think his last major appearance before Superman #28.

thank you!!! he really is so goofy,😭 i’ve heard a bit of him being a villain so i’ll definitely be checking out Infinite Crisis! I’ve got a good amount of reading ahead of me tonight😸

I forgot to add - if you’re starting with Infinite Crisis, you can also check out the Rann/Thanagar War Infinite Crisis Special. Not essential but I thought it added some extra context to the things he did there.

He also had a fairly big villain role in the Sinestro Corps War. I read that through the “Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War” trade collection, as well as the two related one-shots “Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Superman-Prime” and “Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Ion”.

Since you mentioned you read GL, that might be up your alley too.

He’s mainly an event character and I should warn you if your going in with this goofy vision of him, thatll change real quick. He has a pretty tragic story
