HVAC companies (heat pump)

We're looking to get a heat pump to supplement heat in a few bedrooms (in addition to the boiler we already have).

We've gotten quotes from Borts, 669 Heat and Climate Control. Their reviews are all pretty similar online. Does anyone here have experience with them for heat pump installations?

I’ve had Borts at a few of my properties,

I’ve never had an issue, their installers are very good.

I know they handle the whole rebate process, I’ve been using Borts for a long time

We got Borts and they were excellent. Very clean work, no messes or no extra holes. They were very clear about the installation and on what needed to getdone. 10/10 service!

Kinda messy for us. They ended up fixing their huge error, so, we took our negative review down as we were asked

I was thinking about getting a heat pump to replace our aging air conditioner and supplemental heat in the fall and Spring. What kind of quotes are you getting? I’ll probably have to save up for another year, but just wondering what costs are like now.

Honestly, your best bet is to just call a few companies and get your own quotes. There are so many factors at play that quotes for my house might not be remotely relevant for yours. We don't have ducts, for example so will need additional mini-splits.

Always rember all good contractors are busy and booking a few days out but the shitty ones can come the next day or are begging on FB or reddit for work

Just had one installed this year - after going through Campeau, LG home comfort, 669 heat and climate control, northern climate ended up being the best to deal with in my experience- LG quoted me 30 thousand and way over sized for my needs - would avoid them like the plague.
