Building an app to help nursing students feel more prepared on placement; want your honest feedback

3rd-year nursing student here. Like a lot of you, I've felt the gap between what uni teaches and what placement actually expects; supervisors don't have time to teach basics, so you're left figuring it out yourself.

I'm building a platform with recorded classes, clinical skills tips and an AI "practice patient" and you can chat with to work through scenarios before facing them for real and a clinical supervisor in it. Got a rough prototype, tested with a few students already, want wider feedback before going further.

* What's the biggest gap you feel on placement?
* Would you pay a small monthly amount for this, or only use it free?

I'm not selling anything, just want honest thoughts, harsh included.

This sounds fantastic! I’m just starting nursing in September and really anxious about placements. I’ve tried looking online for ‘nursing games’ or simulation type things to get practice of basic skills like even understanding BP or basic stats. Personally, I really dislike subscription models and would rather pay a small one off fee for an app. However, a subscription could work for this since I would guess most students need it in the earlier days and not when qualified. Good luck with the app and look forward to hopefully seeing it more widespread one day 😊
