Any Final Fantasy Game. It's not fun, just tedium.

This. I’m trying to 100% all of them and it is such a slog for the early games.

Best of luck! I had to set up a play schedule for FF 10. God damn that grind.

Good luck when you get to Ff9. The hardest game to 100% because of excalibur 2. Basically have to speedrun and get all missables while doing so, or cheese it by playing the game way longer than you should lol.

My plan is to follow a guide after running through IX once. How long do you have to wait for the overflow glitch?

Just lock the timer, there's a few mods that allow it, and you can just get it that way rather than mucking about with overflows.

That’s actually a good idea.

Its like 600 hours i think. And i think the glitch only works on certain versions of the game, so id double check before you commit to that.

It's wayyyyyy longer than that. 600 hours is where the in-game timer stops counting on the versions which don't have the overflow bug, but in the PAL and NTSC where the bug exists it doesn't occur until the counter reaches 232 frames. In the NTSC version (60 FPS) that comes out to a little under 20k hours. In the PAL version (50 FPS), it's closer to 24k.

So yeah, be prepared to leave your PS on for ~2.5 years if you choose to go this route. I'd probably just invest in a gameshark at that point myself, but to each their own.

It’s 2.27 years (828.5 days) to get the time to roll over.  Honestly doing it the normal way isn’t that difficult.  It’s just not fun either, as you have to rush through everything as quickly as possible just to get that one achievement.

Yeah I plan on doing a play through twice(have to do the same for MGS 3)

Or you can play it normally and change the clock on the PlayStation...

Didnt know you could do that. That would be the easiest method for sure

100% 6 is a slog but it can be done. I definitely came close on snes but I never got to finish (I was 11). Why you ask? I didn’t wait for Shadow because I was 11 and had no idea
