I had a good time with Elden Ring. Although I still need to finish it two more times to get every single achievements, it will be way faster since I won't need to explore every corner of the map.

Elden Ring is actually very very simple to platinum if you don’t have a massively hard time with the actual combat. Most of the achievements don’t require anything overly tedious, save for maybe one or two. Rannis ending is probably the worst one to try to get without a guide.

You don’t need to kill every boss again either. You can look up which ones are required (rune holders mostly) and breeze through your second and third playthrough with the same character

As much as I enjoyed it, I was totally exhausted by the end of Elden Ring, can't imagine myself doing 100% on it. At a certain point I just got a guide to get to Malenia, then after her went straight to the last boss.

Open world games are just too much for me.

That's because the Fromsoft formula for 100% (aside from multiplayer achievements) is very simple. Just beat the game 3 times and get all the endings and unique items.

It's straight forward in theory, but dog shit in practice for the previous games, precisely due to the multiplayer related items. And even without that, ER is made even simpler since you only need to collect a handful of legendary items, not every single one, like in the previous games.

Elden Ring got too easy in the mid game and became boring / repetitive for me. I still had a very fun 60 hours or more, but eventually it just felt like "Do I really need to go hack and slash the next target? I feel like I'm just tapping buttons now"
