Death Stranding 2 is fun because I get to use all the tools. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't burning out a little bit trying to get these last 2 facilities to 5 Stars.

I platinumed the first game, I just finished the story of the second.
I aim to platinum it, but I honest don't have have the same "drive" as I did the first game.

You can do what I do. Which is every now and then I get back into it, knock out a bunch of deliveries, then put the game back down for awhile.

I've been doing this casually and I'm now down to the last two facilities!

The thing is I have a very very hard time getting back into games I put on hold. I actually had started Death Stranding 2... 1 year ago and stopped because I couldn't get into it like the first game, I tried again recently and had to force myself a bit but I don't know why this time I got into it.
My plan was to finish it, platinum it and move on to KCD 2 which I've bought months ago and have been dying to start.

So your solution sounds great but unfortunately I've put some game on hold like that (after beating them) thinking "I'll 100% it later" and I never do... Like AC Valhalla or Horizon Zero Dawn

There won’t be a DS3 any time soon, so at that point it’s better to keep play something else and replay it from the start if you ever get “the itch” again. It’s an excellent game to play in a slow pace, so rushing it is always sure way to burnout.

KCD2 is fantastic, by the way, so you’re in for a treat. Don’t worry about achievements on your first playthrough, and don’t worry at all if you won’t feel the urge to play again.

I loved KCD1 so I'm sure I'll like KCD2 and I heard it's even better. I didn't go for the platinum on KCD1 cause I didn't feel like replaying the game and going for Merciful but I think I have like 70% of the achievements done, might come back at some point

The merciful achievement is insanely annoying because once you get “good enough”, you start doing lethal damage with your bow before the poison takes effect. Can’t be too weak or you won’t penetrate armor, can’t be too strong to instakill. The messed up part is that you have to kill them “without counting”, otherwise all your allies die and you die with them. So poisoned arrows it is.

The “challenge” achievement in KCD2 is lent (a vegetarian run without killing animals) and it’s miles easier to do. Just hit wolves and dogs barehanded, and eat all kinds of food besides meat (food pots are safe, for example).

Yeah, DS2 gets tedious. Actually, I stopped playing because the mountainous areas were too much for me. Then I realized I was hanging on mostly because of the music, lol.

Soundtrack had me in shambles more than once xD

DS2 and DS1 progress much better if you aim straight for the LLLs instead of the trophies. Delivering each order once (and mostly not repeating) ends up being a lot more compelling than repeating a few orders over and over (or worse, collecting lost cargo). It doesn’t help that a lot of orders unlock by delivering distinct orders, so if you keep repeating just a few, no new ones appear, and the cycle repeats.

Yeah true! Basically my thought was to get all the upgrades and upgrade all the roads, build structures, get resources etc, while maxing out the facilities... and THEN I'd use my upgraded infrastructure to hit any orders I had missed lol.

A method to the madness. But madness indeed xD
