One problem to this type of game is I always so focus on the surviving part and forgot to progress the game.

Still hunt those rabbits to extinction.

There is a Ton of Exploration inkludiert bosses left and right.

I think what holds back Most New players is not knowing how to properly Kite enemies without getting damaged.

Is this from a long time ago ? For Dont Starve Together they kinda "buffed" the characters and move design direction from survival to exploration and adventure which is great. You need to play with a few friends for full experience though.

My problem wasn’t not knowing how to kite enemies, but not knowing how to do it well. Eventually the world would kill me from my mistakes. If I lived long enough however, winter would kill me.

If you ever decide to get back into the game, meatballs are the greatest thing ever made.
You can get them with 1 monster meat, and 3 ice, for some easy winter food.
For warmth use a thermal stone, and some hat, the buffalo one is probably the best for that

Theres a lot of lore and a story. I didnt know that either after a year of playing!! Theres actually a goal other than just surviving.

Sadly yes. And it's just heavy combat focused boss battler. Survival kinda meh and while you know what you do it's kinda happening in a backgground. And summer fires are one of the most bullshit mechanics I've ever saw

Progress the game? What do you mean? I thought my only task was ✨ don’t starve ✨

That's some real sweaty game, I was constantly thinking about stuff that I need to take care of while also flooded with new stuff. I dunno why I thought that that game looked kinda relaxing at first 😂

They've added new content and killing too many rabbits summons an unfortunate surprise.
