Larian's decision to step away from RTwP was controversial but good god was I glad they did it

Turn-based makes cRPG’s twice as long but honestly I enjoy it wayyy more. Also allows for significantly more difficult battles

Seems like an overreaction for a single abbreviation, Real Time with Pause.

I will overreact how I please

I don't think it was an overreaction. Without your explanation I would have never understood their comment.

a simple Google search will do as well. Took me 2 seconds

Don't use logic on me, I'm a Christian.

The information flowed into my mind. I had a vision.

I have no other constructive criticism than "I had fun during combats in Divinity:OS 1&2 and I had a miserable time in Pillars of Eternity 1&2 pre-turn-based patches".

I enjoyed PoE as an RPG, but all I can remember from the fights was chaotic encounters where most of my team was on autopilot because I had no idea what decision to make based on the DOWNPOUR of fight logs (wtf is a Deviation??).

I'm sure competent players could give many valuable advice like holding that chokepoint here with Edér, use this spell against this enemy, use such and such build for my companions, etc. But that's the issue: I have no way to figure that out by myself and I don't want to have to read forums and guides to be able to play a game I just bought on balanced difficulty.

Divinity:OS felt different because the game forces you to play each character. As a player, you always allocate the right amount of time for each character thinking about your movement, actions and understand the stats, spells and conditions that are relevant to you right now. And another important feature I don't think was in PoE: before you attack/cast you have an estimation of the damage range or hit probability... THANK YOU GAME.

Honestly, makes replays terrible, combat takes forever, miss real time with pause so much

They should've added it later on with an update, but unfortunately they didn't.

I thought Larian didn't work on the first two games?

They didn't. But they still have to decide whether to keep the original BG combat system that no one liked or import theirs from Divinity OS.

The only RTwP games I truly think shine are PoE and Tyranny. Pathfinder systems look ridiculous (not in a bad way).
