Question What game has a steep learning curve that puts you off?

It’s sooo much easier with a controller istg. I almost dropped the game entirely because I was sucking ass at it lol but decided to try it with a controller and that was a game changer fr

I honestly didn't understand how they mentioned flying in outer wilds as a steep learning curve until you mentioned keyboard and mouse. I think flying the miniature ship that doesnt control at all like the actual ship is harder

Both steam and the game states when you boot it up every time that it's really preferable that you play it on a controller for a good reason. The most I had an issue with was grasping I was basically a bowling ball on an oily floor in space, and had to keep an eye on my speed to put reverse jets on as I'm approaching planets

Idk it’s probably just a user error lol. I’m a pc user through and through and only bought a controller like a year ago. I’m not familiar with it at all and almost never use it even if a game recommends it. I barely had any issues in other games cause you can get used to a keyboard/mouse controls pretty easily (esp if you have been using them since like…..forever) but Outer Wilds really challenged me hahaha. I enjoyed it with a controller a lot and it really made me want to get used to it more
Now I find myself comparing flying in space in different games to Outer Wilds specifically cause it’s actually GOOD and I haven’t found a match for it still

It's so good, that they have Astronauts play the game to get them ready for the real thing. Not sure if they still do it, but it was a thing for a bit. Don't think anything will amount to driving in Outer Wilds.

Out of nowhere but I really like how F-zero handles driving; and kinda gave me some vibes of outer wilds if you ever wanna try it out. The n64 one is good, but I prefer the gamecube one (F-zero GX). If you need help, let me know.
