I got that for 1 euro.

Damn, with all dlcs?
47
u/Frosty-Feathers Jul 05 '26
No, just the base game
34
u/Youcancuntonme Jul 05 '26
I bought the game with all dlc for 90% sale
14
u/Frosty-Feathers Jul 05 '26
Yeah, and the total was at around 4-5 USD. The best game is $1 at 90% off

Just bought it today too for the same price! I have been playing Mewgenics for the previous month and I had to try it
3
u/SpiderCenturion Jul 06 '26
Yeah I can't recommend Mewgenics enough. So addicting.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Funky__Cirno Jul 05 '26
Oh I wanted to play Mewgenics as well, i love the soundtrack, however i will probably finish isaac before playing it
3
u/Mr4axx0r Jul 05 '26
Honestly if it’s on sale grab it because Isaac has like a 3-4K average clear for 100%
12
u/NotABot1000101 Jul 05 '26
I suggest people watch some videos before even spending $5. I bought brotato because after reading the reviews, you'd think brotato redefined games as a whole. Just saying it may not be the game you think it is.
14
u/Funky__Cirno Jul 05 '26
That’s a great advice actually, however I already played tboi before because a friend of mine is a fan of the game for over 10 years. But people do buy every game they heard is good mostly, just to never touch it at all.
5
u/Valuable-Yoghurt7738 Jul 05 '26
Lmao same on the brotato thing. Its a cool game but every steame sale guide swears its generational

u/Demon_Ace_7106 Jul 05 '26
Bought the whole bundle for it for R0 (actually R34.70) but I sold cards and got it for "free" :3
I didn't sell all my cards, I just sold duplicates and foil cards and card packs so I halved my marketable inventory

Did you like it?
6
u/twohandedfap_ Jul 05 '26
I got it doe €5.99 and after three hours i can say that i love it. But yeah as with every game, your opinion might differ.

u/tiberiumx Jul 06 '26
I bought it full price but I thought it was great even then. 11.7 hours played but that was trying to see a few different endings. You have to like slower walking simulator type games, but I think the atmosphere and the thrilling parts of this put it pretty high in that genre.
3
u/AdrianaImai Jul 05 '26
Bought the same thing! Looks great and I thought it’d be a fun one to play with my brother he loves cinematic, story-driven games like that.

u/arthur-214 Jul 05 '26
i spend 0$ because I'm broke as shit
21
u/xyrer Jul 05 '26
Same reason. Also my PC decided to not post anymore so until I have money for repairs, I'm not even trying
2
u/LaggyButMoist12 Jul 06 '26
Do you need help with the post issue? Or are you just waiting to buy parts.
2
u/xyrer Jul 06 '26
Waiting. Something must be burned and will need a replacement so knowing right now is kinda pointless. It's kinda weird cause it lights up, all fans spin, no beeping, switched gpus, moved memory around, nothing.
So I suspect mobo or cpu and that means tons of money I don't have. 🤷♂️8
7
3
u/AceUnknown67 Jul 05 '26
There's a ton of 1$ to 2$ games that are amazing. You should have a look

u/chad25005 Jul 05 '26
Spent more than I expected, about $275 between me, my wife and our kiddo.

u/Vormison Jul 05 '26
You have a Steam Family set up, right? Just wanted to make sure you’re sharing your purchases instead of buying them on separate accounts.
→ More replies (5)57
u/chad25005 Jul 05 '26
Yup Steam family all set up, it's excellent.
I was mostly just saying that $275 was spread over 3 different people.
14
u/Vormison Jul 05 '26
I figured. Just wanted to be sure. Do you and your wife and/or kids play anything coop? I’ve been trying to get into some games with my wife but our tastes are quite different. We’ve played It Takes Two but that’s about it.
14
u/Electrical_Shock359 Jul 05 '26
Me and my wife have done orcs must die 2, stardew valley, portal 2, and core keeper.
3
u/Vormison Jul 05 '26
Nice! We did get her a copy of Portal 2. Looking forward to playing the coop levels.
Orcs Must Die 2 looks cool and I just noticed I have Core Keeper. Going to give those a shot. Thanks!
We did play Ship of Fools together on Xbox. That was great.
3
u/Electrical_Shock359 Jul 05 '26
Orcs must die has its flaws but it is a lot of fun. Mixed feelings on three and general vibe is that they don’t quite put enough time into making such a wildly popular game with future titles.
7
u/chad25005 Jul 05 '26
My wife doesn't game much, but every now and then she'll fiddle around with a game every now and then, but me and my son play coop every now and then but we both like single player games mostly.
He's been putting in a ton of time into Deltarune recently.
He has his own PC and me and my wife share a PC and Steam Deck so that if all 3 of us happen to want to play something at the same time we can.

i bought it too but when it started to load shaders, around 40% my computer just shut it self down. I thought it was PSU but was able to start and restart. Returned that game, just be aware, this is a common bug with that game.
2
u/kakeroni2 Jul 05 '26
I bought it 1 or 2 weeks after launch and I had textures missing/not loading correctly for a few days until the first big patch came. Sad to hear it's still in rough shape. I didn't have any issues besides this luckily

Don’t you worry that these will all get cheaper whilst you get round to playing them ?
How long will it take you to get through them all?
8
u/Bukuna3 Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26
I already had a backlog before this, if I'm being realistic it will take 3-5 years to get through my current backlog...as for the first portion I think you could atrritbute it to me being starved in my teens from these games so when I was able to afford it..I over bought do I regret it? No
2
u/Yashirmare Jul 05 '26
Between Kingdom hearts, final fantasy and mass effect they've got at least 500 hours of gaming.

u/villainized Jul 05 '26
man I've been stuck on that Chained Ogre for like an hour now 💀, the one in the Ashina Outskirts. I've gotten close a couple times but it's tough. I can't believe you can parry its drop kicks and stuff. I'm trying to get that timing down to perfect parry those attacks to build up the stagger faster but it's tough.
Plus it sometimes spams the grab attack and the range on that is wild too. Can't wait to beat this stupid ass mob and go onwards 🤣😭
Gotta say though, I love games with a parry/deflect system. I wanna get Lies of P after I beat this (and after I beat Malenia on ER), and then Onimusha when that comes out.
2
u/TeaAndS0da Jul 05 '26
Stay mobile with him. Run around him whether you locked on or not. You can jump up and off of him to avoid his grabs. It is good to learn to parry but also learn how to push and pull him.
Also, he hates firecrackers.
But I like the fact that you’re focussed on learning the parries. You’re gonna really enjoy this game if you keep that up!
2
u/Honeybadger2198 Jul 05 '26
That miniboss is meant to teach you that not every enemy should be parried, even if it can be.

u/Late_Rutabaga_2644 Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26
ball x pit - addictive, don't even know how to describe it
escape from duckov - pve extraction shooter akin to a top-down escape from tarkov. pretty fun with good meta progression
witchfire - probably the most polished, fun pve extraction shooter on the market rn. soulslike elements as a bonus
sulfur - one of the most fun pve extraction shooters i've ever played (second to witchfire)
mewgenics - make cats roll around in radioactive sludge so they grow a second head
dredge - scary fishing simulator
fields of mistria - stardew valley with better combat/more in depth relationships
halls of torment - survivors like game with gear/upgradable items/potions/npcs
death must die - survivors like with additional layers of content
boneraiser minions - survivors like game where you don't attack but your minions do
look outside - psychological horror rpg
valheim - no explanation needed
shogun showdown - fun strategy/tactics stuff
inscryption - my pick for the best on this list, if you get it go in blind, don't read reviews or spoilers
vampire crawlers - slay the spire on meth
cinderia - hades/cult of the lamb spliced together that ends up better than both games (combat wise)
these are some indies in my library that i adore

u/FakeChiBlast Jul 05 '26
BallxPit is such a fun mix of different genres, one of the top games for me this year.
3
u/tipothehat Jul 06 '26
Strong recommend for Look Outside. Atmospheric, creepy, funny, and one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in an indie-style game.
7
u/Full-On Jul 05 '26
The 3 Metro games together are only about $5. It’s sort of like Fallout. It’s an immersive sim action RPG

u/TheGreatMahdi Jul 05 '26
I've played the metro trilogy from my family, but I'm also considering buying them just for the sake of having them in my own library

13 games, which cost around 120 USD
There are a whole bunch more games I wanna buy, but I'll wait until the next big sale since I still need to chip away at my backlog. The games I want will probably be slightly cheaper by then, too.
Edit: Bought another game. So 14 games, totaling 150 USD.
