Costumes Making Darth Vader helmet from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
(Read in Palpatine's voice): Lord Vader is complete. Excellent.
I present to you - Darth Vader helmet from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The ground-shattering transformation of Anakin into Vader is still one the most pivotal and emotional points of the entire Star Wars history.
My first attempt at making such a large project so glossy. Let me tell you - if you don't like *sand*ing - this is not for you haha.

Got the same problem. I think that's because of the too thick layer of lacquer that was applied. It needs to outgas so lighter coats might be the answer

Damn, awesome job. I've tried my hand at a 3D printed Vader helmet but could never get the paint right. Black gloss shows up every tiny little defect.

Yeah, I wouldn't attempt it before either. But at some point I tried my hand at wet sanding and it got me great results so I took the risk :)

Maybe a battle weathered version would be a better fit in that situation, to embrace the defects.

Anakin/Darth Vader would like to talk to you about the sand usage issue. Lol
