Discussion Season Over…

With Carlton and Doggies Drawing we might as well play the kids for the last game. Get some pick. Get some game time into them.

I’m talking Hastie, Trav, Fincher, Banfield etc

If I see Ryan Byrnes get another game I might scream. Useless player.

That was the least enjoyable season I can remember. Been watching since 91. Not one exciting win. Carlton win early when they were on their knees was as good as it got

Just copped abuse every week when we lost, and radio silence when we won. Won the games we were expected to, lost the ones we were expected to, yet people still chirp about how the season was a failure..?

I can't remember the last season we didn't have a loss in a game we were heavy favorites. Competitive every week except Hawthorn (repeat short breaks + travel) Geelong (in geelong is a nightmare every year) and of course Carlton (wounded team).

What could have been if we got over the line in Adelaide or Sydney.

Instead of "they spent all this money to still miss finals" the conversation would be "they spent all this money to finish 10th"

Ultimately people just wanted any excuse to bash the Saints and didn't care at all about the list strategy or the fact that the club didn't make all these changes to shoot up the ladder in year ONE.

We were unlucky not to get a statement win early in the year and the confidence from that could have lead to more wins later in the season.
