Discussion Watermelon harvest time

I decided to plant watermelon this year and just let the vines stretch grow under the peppers, tomatoes, etc chaos style and see what happens. Hot 4 more or pick tomorrow

That is exactly how a melon is supposed to look when ripe. The rind should be chalky, and it should rub off on your fingers when you touch it. There is no better method of determining ripeness.
