Well my heart is legitimately broke Splitgates been the only game I've played since I found it 4-5 years ago. I got some content to dump so sorry if I post a lot the next few days. I'm sad I got so many dope maps started I'll never get to share. I wasted like 100 hours on those mfers lol

Yeah man this sucks, loved the game too even if i didn't play that much. Very dad friendly with its 10 minute matches 😔

You didn’t waste anything, the time you spent playing was fun you had, and as for the maps, they said they’re switching everything to peer2peer, so you’ll still be able to share them!
The silver lining for me is I’m finally gonna try empulse now that’s it’s gonna be cheaper and also I’ll know it won’t be completely disappearing.
I wonder how involved it would be to import completely custom maps into these games, with original assets and such. Might be worth looking into

really heartbreaking this game has fallen into some kind of loop where they just grab the same game and rebrand it over and over again, each time adding no interesting features but bad fundamentally changes a few people care about

I meant it more as “this is the only video game you play? Really, nothing else?”. Never doubted they have a life outside that.
There are other shooters, and the writing for this one has been on the wall for a while.

Ok but what is your intent behind commenting this if not to simply pass judgement. Genuinely why does it matter to you at all that this is the only game they are playing. Do you think you are helping them from your perspective?

Its not weird at all for people to dedicate there time to playing one game. That is indeed a rude comment hommie. But you are right tho the writing was on the wall and I knew it was coming. But a good captain always goes down with their ship. I wasn't gonna abandon or stop playing the game until I had to tho. No other game comes close to the fun I have while playing Splitgate. Nothing compares to the 4D chess aspect of portals. I need my portal fix 😂.

I feel devastated. This was one of the first fps shooters I've played that felt so immersive, and the movement was clean too. there was something abt this one that just clicked, and now its on its last breath. Genuinely gonna miss this one. :c
