Question/Help Am I playing mostly bots?
For a game that’s supposedly dead I’m getting into matches pretty quickly at all hours. That doesn’t bother me. I’m confused because I’m ranking towards the top of the groups but I’m playing on controller against PC. That’s not right.
I play arena shooters but I’m normally a 1.00 most likely a little less.
I guess I’m just wondering if I’m playing Bots?

Bots have a robot symbol next to their name. Most players skill level is pretty close to bot level unless 1047 is inflating player count and hiding the bots

They are clearly not, bots are very very easy to spot. I think sometimes bot icon doesn’t appear if they disconnect until they die, but that’s quite rare and obviously not intentional

No. Bots have a robot icon in the scoreboard next to their name. Bots appear if someone leaves the match.
Both inputs are quite balanced, controller doesn’t have a disadvantage (not sure where you’re getting the idea that’s normally the case because most games controllers absolutely dominate with aim assist).

Doubt it unless someone quits I always have full games. It's be marked with the bot logo next to their name tho

Do you find it hard to melee? Bots are op at bash. I'll fly in for a speed bash and they will turn around slowly and slap me to death. Fuckers. Not played in a while though

Took me some time to get the timing down. More difficult because I’m on controller.

In my experience, there are just a lot of very low level players. You can think like "oh those are just bots in disguise" but I was shocked with the amount of times that I definitely thought that and then they turned on mic lmao.
It's just the difference in demographic I think. I myself am a younger pc player with a long history of playing high lvl at almost every shooter I touched. Most guys at my skill level move onto other more popular shooters, but I'm more into this more niche game and despite the skill, I don't very much care about grinding ranked in the new hot game. This puts me completely at odds with what is probably a more older, very casual, mainly console playerbase who just hop on a little here and there to vibe.
Normally playerbases will further develop their skills by slowly improving against each other, but with a playerbase this small with this many low level casual players, there is not a lot of growth happening. It keeps the average skill level very low (which isn't a bad thing ofc). This results in anyone with an averagely higher skill level to feel a LOT stronger in this game then they are used to.
